York state enacted the nation's toughest gun restrictions today and the first since the Connecticut school massacre, including an expanded assault-weapon ban and background checks for buying ammunition.
Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed the measure into law less than an hour after it won final passage in the Legislature, with supporters hailing it as a model for the nation and gun-rights activists condemning it as a knee-jerk piece of legislation that won't make anyone safer and is too extreme to win support in the rest of the country.

-is it I believe gun control is ineffective?
-is it I believe corporations have entirely too much influence in politics?
-is it I believe there should be a separation between church and state?
-is it I believe gay couples should be allowed equal rights?
-is it I believe government should get out of marriage business?
-is it I believe Corporate welfare is worse than social welfare?
-is it I believe giving rich people more money doesn't create jobs?
-is it I believe drugs should be decriminalized and taxed?
-is it I believe in the death penalty?
-is it I believe law enforcement should be held to a higher standard?
-is it I believe our government can't be trusted?
-is it I believe the NDAA and Patriot Act are unconstitutional?

-is it I believe that Obama is blamed for things not in his control?

That one, explain GIVING. If you are talking about tax rates (I am guessing) how about using "taking less." While I will never be rich and only made enough to start losing deductions once, I do not think it is fair to tax the crap out of rich people. They get no more out of the government and probably less than a poor person who pays no taxes. As for creating jobs I have known quite a few people who will refuse to earn past a certain amount
a year due to getting into higher tax brackets. I could imagine business owners in California not expanding if they were making close to a $1 million a year if they were opposed to paying the millionaire medical tax.
