If the Chief's don't step up do the Skins have a shot? skinsWill 03-09-2005, 05:31 PM i actually went to school with Plax and he does not have the carachter issues that everyone is talking about...and in regards to the steelers not wanting him back Ben Rothelisberger was very outspoken in wanting him back.. with that said i wouldnt mind having plax (he is from VA and im sure would LOVE to play for the skins) and ramsey would have a reciever that even he couldnt over throw. but he is alot like gardner with the concentration issues and a one year fix would be counter productive to what gibbs is trying to do with the team. i say talk to his agent make a cap friendly long term proposal and if he doesnt like it draft Williams or Williamson with the #9 and if he does then we pretty much get any corner we want in the draft. He is big, yes, but he is basically a deep threat, in the same mold as Moss or Patten, except more expensive. We don't just need a WR, we need a specific type of receiver, that being a big, strong possession style guy. Not Plaxico.
