I guess my main point is, we are always optimistic and can talk ourselves into believing some 4th or 6th rounder will develop into a starter/contributor.

But in reality, we are lucky if 2 players from each draft make it to their 2nd NFL contract.

Yeah good point, if you can get 3 quality starters out of a draft you're doing really well. The day 3 guys are usually projects, long shots, and at best special teamers.

I'll take "things that didn't age well" for 1000 Alex.

And a couple things I noticed, NE took Jamie Collins the pick after we took Amerson. Big F.

And Chicago took Jon Bostic with the pick just before we took Amerson. Funny how that worked out lol.

Also Travis Kelce went with the first pick in the 3rd to the Chiefs. oof.
