Amerson will stay at CB. I'm really confident that him and Rambo will be starting in our secondary before the year is over.
InterceptSkins ftw
Jawan looks like a excellent back for Shanny's offense too. I'm really excited to see him get some snaps.

I feel Amerson, Thomas, and Rambo will all be starting by the end of the year. Amerson and Thomas week one, Rambo by week 4.

I feel like Thomas will get a lot of reps, but being more natural at the SS position.. I don't see him beating out Merriweather. I understand our safety positions are interchangeable but you still need that deep field cover.

See that is where I disagree, I think he will beat out Merriweather. My eventual starting secondary will be:
CB: David Amerson
CB: Josh Wilson or EJ Biggers
NCB: DeAngelo Hall (Hopefully Crawford or Minnifield can show they can handle it)
FS: Baccari Rambo
SS: Phillip Thomas

IMO I am less optimistic about the rooks in the secondary in the immediate future. According to Bill Polian, you are doing well if you hit on 50% of your picks. This means that one or two of our three picks will develop, over time, into starters. Following this premise, at least one of our three picks will be a dud.
I think that maybe one of those secondary guys will start right away. And, following Greg Blache, that rookie will sometimes thrill and sometimes break our hearts.
I'm still happy that we drafted who we did.

So you have Hall going from #1 to not even in the starting lineup? Interesting.
Maybe I'm optimistic, but I'm not willing to throw three rookies in to the starting lineup with even a practice under their belt

I agree. It's unlikely all 3 DBs hit their potential, but that's why I am glad we didn't take one and call the problem solved. We definitely had roster room to. bring these guys in, so now its up to them to earn their spots. I do think the young competition will only make the older vets better. Regardless of who starts, our defensive backfield will be a lot better this year and going forward.

In this day and age nickel corner is technically starting but I dont see him on the team after this season so yeah. I think Amerson will turn into a number one.

I am going to need you to not ruin my dream of the greatest secondary draft of all time.

I was going off of what you had in parentheses.
