What I like a lot is that we really didn't reach anywhere.

I thought he did decent enough for us as a backup. The RB picks aren't bad, but like RGIII stated, you could put anybody behind our starting line and they will be good. Just like Shanny in Denver.

The right anybodies. Both guys have skillsets that match the zbs and do something good like catch the ball (Thompson) and pass protect (Jamison)

i'm happy with day 3. if shanny drafts an RB... I approve. that's it. doesn't matter if i don't know them or no one's heard about them, he's proved he's the smartest guy in the world in regards to late round RBs.

and behind morris we got nothing. we'd have helu, if he could stay healthy.

really happy with day 3. rambo in the 6th is good value, and 3 DBs that could potentially start this year is great. I really think our FO did a great job of addressing our needs this offseason. future TE/TE #2 and RB #2 are important for flexibility and i think pashos and the 4 new DBs should really help us with our pass D.

Helu hasn't been able to stay healthy and what has Royster done to cement a spot?

I'm all for bringing in more playmakers.

What this guy says, Oh and if Shanny picks a rb then count me in on default

I really like the reed pick for us specifically. He'll be a nice target for kirk/bob and part of a matchup nightmare scheme.Reed I think fits more what we want to be than what we are.

I think that consistent with what we've done over the last few years, the Redskins have given draft value early, and gotten it late, if that makes sense. I think the Redskins are just typically very picky with who they get early in the draft, but later in the draft, they open it up a lot and typically get a lot of value.

I'm suddenly excited about our D. Orakpo, Carriker, Crawford, Hall & Wilson combined with Merriweather & Thomas/Rambo. Plus, I was starting to like Bernestine as well.

Definite upgrades over Madieu which will help our DB's dramatically plus our pass rush will be improved with Rak, Carriker & B. Jenkins.

I don't feel like I'm drinking kool-aid either. We could end up being really good next year if the OL stays healthy.

Eagles are a HUGE wild card. I'm hoping that Chip Kelly becomes the next Spurrier while Barkley, at least in Philly, ends up being the next Leinart-Sanchez-Booty-Palmer post injury. Could easily go either way. In Philly he will have bookend tackles, receivers, a running back, and an offensive minded coach, basically a lot of what he had his Junior year at USC.

Royster didn't do much at all last year IMO.

People were saying the same thing last year with Morris.

At most positions, particularly in the past couple years at WR, I've thought that the emphasis on 'competition' where they brought in as many bodies as they could find was a waste of valuable reps, especially for younger guys we needed to focus on developing.

However given Shannys history at finding RB's I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. And it's like you said, a lot of us, myself included, were saying similar stuff about Morris last year. Personally I like Jamison - Rutgers more then Thompson - FSU.

Ironcially I think any RB that gets drafted by Shanahan is in a great situation. They either make the team and get a chance to become the next over-achiever or if they get cut you have other teams more willing to look at them because, well basically Shanny saw something in them.

I think virtually every ex-Shanahan running back that didn't retire right away got a second chance elsewhere after leaving the Broncos or Redskins. I mean does anyone think Keiland Williams would have gotten a chance to play for the Lions if he hadn't been a Shanahan RB?

LOL, yeah right , you think and INT is going to bother Eli, really?

If he hadn't thrown the INT to Rob Jackson he may have been playing for another ring :-P

I disagree. Trade for Fred Davis looming...

Edit: Egg on face. Rewatched the video again. Realized he didn't throw the bottle at the woman. Not his finest hour and certainly not acceptable but a world of difference between throwing glass at someones face and spilling a beer on them.

Welcome back Fred Davis to Dirtabag's approved Redskins. Get well soon dude. lol.
