I'd think Tebow would be a better option QB than Cousins and White.
Yeah that's a ridiculous statement. Sorry, just not close imo.

Monkeydad 04-29-2013, 10:36 AM Other than actual live sports, I've had to cut ESPN out of my life on the TV and radio. They've become like E! or any other TV tabloid-type show. Nauseating. From Greenberg's fashion tips to Stephen A Smith's constant racist talk to Chris Berman's version of the English language and screaming to Skip Bayless just being employed...it all makes me sick to the stomach. You really have to question ANY organization who would hire Michael Irvin too. There's a lesson for the kids...if you practice running fast, you can spend your time with hookers and cocaine and still make a fortune. Forget English class, just party. ANYWAYS...back to the topic...I'm getting very relieved that we did not get to draft Matthieu now. Reports are that the Cards are giving him ZERO money guaranteed and could be drug testing him weekly. KI Skins Fan 04-29-2013, 12:05 PM Tebow's insistence on trying to play QB is hurting his chance to have a successful NFL career as a hybrid TE. I think he could be a monster in that role. QB? No. Playmaker? Yes. Is his pride holding him back? At this point, I'd say yes. mlmpetert 04-29-2013, 12:57 PM Delievers pain, ooodles and ooodles of pain. I really dont need to see everyone's opinion on the mothership about Tebow, his play on the field speaks for himself. Havent watched the NFLN in a couple years, I was done pretty early with those guys. Which one do you think accurately describes his play: Winner? Leader? Team Player? AFC West Championer? Adversity Conqueror? Footballer? Just playing. We know he's ALL those things on the field and so much more in life...... I thought about starting a "Tebow Talk" thread back in the day when the media started to get pretty intense with him. This way people who want to talk Tebow can talk Tebow and every other thread wouldnt be junked up with Tebow stuff. Maybe theres still time? If he had less hubris and more brains, he would have made the switch to H-back when it was suggested to him before his draft. The meek will inherit the tight end position. He took the Broncos to the playoffs and won a playoff game as a QB. Of course he's leaving town when Peyton Manning comes in. He had his run a a QB. He should not be faulted for playing his position when a team gives him a chance. Now that his demand as a QB is gone, it's NOW time to switch if he wants to stay in the league, but I don't blame him for being the Broncos' QB while he had the chance. I guess the question is about his position. IMO his NFL position is H-back, not QB. If he had started his NFL career as an H-back, he would already have an established career. Instead he wanted to be a QB, Denver was foolish enough to give him a shot at QB, and now he has little to show for his career so far and likely has to reinvent himself. In the meantime the clock is ticking on his career, which in the NFL is always relatively short. Skinzman 04-29-2013, 09:17 PM I guess the question is about his position. The problem with all of this is that had he announced before he was drafted that he was going to be a TE, he would have been drafted later than the first. He wouldnt have been in all the commercials. He wouldnt have had the cult following that he has. Im sure a lot of people would take a 3 year career that earned possibly 10's of millions over a 10 year career that earned 5 mil and brain damage. Im still confused why people assume Tebow would be a difference maker at TE. He would probably be average at best. Can he even catch? or block? Chico23231 04-30-2013, 08:53 AM Chris Landry brought up some good points about the Jets drafting Geno Smith. He thinks Geno has potential, needs to be coached up, but are the Jets the right fit? Smith has shown he has thin skin and seems he wont be able to take the NY media. Smith also had a twitter moment. Head coach could be gone after this season, next coach may not see Smith as "his guy." Team still has it share of idiots on the roster. New offensive cordinator and a front office that is still more about the headlines than football. Could be interesting folks. Landry was basically saying horrible fit. |
