nfldraftscout rated him out as the 29th best WR last year, and that was after missing 6 games. Imagine how good he can be if he plays more games...He could be 28th!

Imagine how good he can be if he plays more games...He could be 28th! A full year and he will probably be ranked in the low teens, like 12 or 13. Right behind Crabtree and such. In my opinion not worth what the Redskins paid him, but still a good player. CultBrennan59 04-16-2013, 05:19 PM I was being sarcastic about the garçon ranking. I think when healthy hes top 15 The Goat 04-16-2013, 06:50 PM NFL Stats: by Player Category (http://www.nfl.com/stats/categorystats?seasonType=REG&d-447263-n=1&d-447263-o=2&d-447263-p=1&d-447263-s=RECEIVING_YARDS&tabSeq=0&season=2011&Submit=Go&experience=&archive=true&conference=null&statisticCategory=RECEIVING&qualified=false) Given there's typically about 20 WRs who break 1000 yards every season and Garcon never has, even when fully healthy with P Manning tossing to him, I can't imagine anyone would rate him as a top 20 receiver. Low 20's maybe but he's been so inconsistent in every season of his career. Honestly I think he's an extremely difficult player to rank. Garcon was the #3 or #4 option while he was playing with Manning. They had Wayne catching over 100 balls a season, in 2008 Dallas Clark also had 100 catches with Wayne, and Collie caught his fair share too. Once Garcon became the #2 Manning was out for the year. What is so inconsistent about his numbers? If he was ever elite you can bet your sweet ass Manning would have moved him up the chart :) MTK 04-16-2013, 08:00 PM That's really the bottom line isn't it Matty? That's the bottom line. ethat001 04-16-2013, 11:40 PM Weren't we 9-2 when Garcon was in the game? Come on -- Garcon was a weapon in this offense. He wasn't Calvin Johnson, but we didn't need that for our offense to be top 5 in the league. I'm still concerned about the injury, and he's turning out to be a Landry -> well paid and injured and delaying surgery. Hope he comes back healthy. Back to the OP -> Orakpo -> does anyone know players who have come back from two torn pec's? Seems unusual to tear it twice, and I wonder how well it heals. Hope it doesn't make him a liability going forward. Don't really care how "well" Orakpo feels now, I want to see it on the field. This is what Orakpo said last year -- a couple of days before injuring it again for the season: "...But I’m feeling great right now. I was able to go the whole day today. I was able to go the whole couple days we had on Friday and Saturday. I mean, I’m back.” Orakpo: ‘I’m back’ (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/football-insider/wp/2012/09/03/orakpo-im-back/) IHG_2012 04-24-2013, 09:02 AM Well all I can say is he needs to be patient as well.. a third injury on a contract year is not good for him SouperMeister 04-27-2013, 11:12 AM When you go over the list of players we will get back....it's like a great draft/FA class coming our way.... Rak Fred Carriker Garcon....healthy Helu Meriweather Minnefield...... and......other suspended guy fun stuff in there! If only we could add a starting quality O-lineman to that list... |
