NYCskinfan82 04-10-2013, 03:38 PM Need to Know Tuesday 04.09 Redskins Roy Helu - Rich Tandler's Real Redskins (http://www.realredskins.com/rich-tandlers-real-redsk/2013/04/need-to-know-tuesday-0409-redskins-roy-helu.html)
Saw this, just imagine if Helu comes back healthy.
sdskinsfan2001 04-11-2013, 07:41 PM One area where Shanny gets 100% of me butting out is the RB position. He knows how to find talent and that was true before AlfMo. If he wanted to draft 0 rb's this draft or draft 3 of them, I would just assume he know's something I don't.
Looking forward to seeing more AlfMo homerun swings this season. Hail!
REDSKINS4ever 04-22-2013, 02:50 AM I'm glad Helu is getting healthy. He showed what he can do back in 2011. Our offense is even better with him in the line-up.
Paintrain 04-22-2013, 10:46 AM I think Helu is going to always be our version of Felix Jones. He will show some plays that make us think WOW and then miss 3 weeks with a dinged ankle, knee, toe, etc. He's got some speed, nice burst, etc but his vision is pretty terrible. He can't read a hole to save his life and he runs tight (too many steps without going anywhere) in space. When he gets out ahead, he's not going to get caught though. I said last offseason if we could combine Royster's vision with Helu's wheels we would have a great back. If Morris had his speed, he would be a top 3 back (that's more of a compliment to Morris's vision than anything).
Hopefully he can play a solid role as a change of pace/3rd down back but I want to see us pick one in the 3-5 round this weekend because I don't trust him to stay healthy and productive.

I totally agree but Helu as a receiver out the backfield was the weapon we missed last year. I believe Matty said he had 42 receptions in the 2011 season; that is pretty coupled with Alfomo that is a scary backfield.

Remember the Seattle game for Helu?
He had 166 yards total, 7 receptions and this:

Then, he broke Art Monk and Kelvin Bryant's receptions in a game record with 14.

When healthy, he and Morris together will be unstoppable.

I'm not sure that I would be exciting about holding that record. This was also the career highlight of John Beck, lol.

Art Monk had 13 receptions twice. It was an big personal accomplishment by Helu.
You're right, the team was a mess though but Helu provided some of the few bright spots in that season.

Yeah, I know, just busting on the 'record'.

Same with those 63-yard FGs...seriously kickers, are your offenses so impotent that they can't get you closer than 63 yards in a clutch situation?
Well, in Janikowski's case...
