Siskel was only 53. mredskins 04-04-2013, 04:51 PM That sucks; always enjoyed him. NC_Skins 04-04-2013, 04:59 PM That sucks. I used to watch Siskel and Ebert all the time when I was younger. I'll miss seeing his name on the critic list. :( RIP Roger. mooby 04-04-2013, 05:20 PM Damn I just read an article that said he would be scaling back on his movie reviews because his cancer had returned. And now he's gone. RIP Roger Ebert. CultBrennan59 04-04-2013, 05:34 PM Sad stuff I always regard his opinion when choosing a movie. I give this news 2 thumbs down. RedskinRat 04-04-2013, 07:05 PM Roger Ebert - Salon.com (http://www.salon.com/2011/09/15/roger_ebert/) I know it is coming, and I do not fear it, because I believe there is nothing on the other side of death to fear. I hope to be spared as much pain as possible on the approach path. I was perfectly content before I was born, and I think of death as the same state. I am grateful for the gifts of intelligence, love, wonder and laughter. You can’t say it wasn’t interesting. My lifetime’s memories are what I have brought home from the trip. I will require them for eternity no more than that little souvenir of the Eiffel Tower I brought home from Paris. We just lost another of the good guys. <shakes_fist_at_cancer> firstdown 04-04-2013, 07:09 PM Damn I just read an article that said he would be scaling back on his movie reviews because his cancer had returned. And now he's gone. RIP Roger Ebert. He scaled back. itvnetop 04-04-2013, 07:56 PM RIP. The man put film critique on the map, imo. DynamiteRave 04-04-2013, 09:16 PM Sucky. I remember when he lost half his jaw from the cancer, it was awful. I remember watching Siskel and Ebert's reviews as a kid. |
