This is the attitude I am going to take. I am extremely disappointed though.

Look you guys are getting all up in arms over nothing. Smoot was adverage at best. Springs is the superior corner so would it have been fair to give Smoot more than Springs, no! I know Smoot was suposidly the epitimy of what a Redskin is but his ability was lacking.And everybody thought he would stay if the offer was comperable.Well it was and he didnt. So there is your Redskin going after the all mighty dollar.He can and will be replaced easily just wait and see. As far as the offense is concerned we are building a team not 1 or 2 superstars with fill in players around them but a team. A team with many weapons. Patton and Moss stretching the field Jacobs opening up the middle along with Thrash Cooley in the flat and Portis out of the backfield. We will fill the rest of our needs through the draft go 10-6 and make it to the playoffs. I know im in the minority as far as Smoot is concerned but he just never impressed me and besides its done now and there is nothing any of us can do about it now. I like this new frugile approach and the direction as a whole. Just my humble opinion.

Allow for disappointment that he is gone, but keep perspective that we are just going thru what every other NFL team goes thru in the salary cap era.

Its getting on my nerves so can we please go get another 3 rings while gibbs is here, giving us six and then i can stick my hand up, say count the rings, then say wait, and do an obsence gesture with another part that has a 6th ring on it...ok cool, thanks for agreeing guys

OH! I completely forgot about your boss being a Cowboys fan. I don't know if it is just me but I have a serious anger problem when it comes to Cowboys fans. A few years ago I even took a swing at a close friend because he was talking shit to me over a game they won.

Springs got paid what he got paid (a great deal for him) because he has massive injury problems. Smoot plays through them.

What massive injury problems. Other than 2001 (when he only played 8 games) Springs has played most every game of his career

i assumed when you talk about core players, that you'd want to keep them. Pierce and Smoot got away because of money. who would have thunk it with Snyder at the helm. But, again, salary cap issues that were started long before now are haunting the Skins.

i, like others, will take the high ground and hope that this is the direction we need to go in. hopefully dead money and cap woes will be cleared up next season, and we can build a more solid core of players.
