They were saying on NFL network that he told the raiders I would like 2 be close 2 home dont draft me, he's a Alambama guy.

I would be cool either way. To me adding him at this point will require a roster move, and I don't know what it would be. Which makes me nervous.

I wouldn't mind Winfield, but I don't understand the FO's thinking. We've brought back Hall, signed Biggers, and we're most likely going to draft a CB or two. What's the point of bringing in Winfield?

If the thinking is to bring in a guy who can start immediately, then Winfield is wasted money. I'm fine with our current CBs, just need to get a good safety or two and a CB in the draft.

Winfield is a better CB/DB than what we have now. He's just a great defender. If we sign him it gives us flexibility in the draft if we can't get one of our top targeted DBs. Also it can help us possibly trade a guy like josh Wilson. Or cut DHall. Or just have a lot of talented DBs.
