Hello GameBreaker, In 2003 McCants was very productive. McCants is not a speacial teams player and Coach Gibbs has a problem with that. One I feel he should get over. Been a Skins fan 36 yrs.

Welcome John! I agree with you on McCants, but it seems that he is at the bottom of the depth chart and will probably be somewhere else by the beginning of the season....it's a shame. I am still holding out hope though until he is officially gone. As for the cap, it won't be so bad...the Coles trade accelerated all of his cap hit to this year so that helps for 2006. Plus the cap is expected to go up more than usual from the new TV deal. John Hasbrouck 03-08-2005, 02:47 PM Coach Gibbs brought in Bill Musgrave to coach up Ramsey and that is the key position for the Skins in 2005. That Guy 03-08-2005, 04:30 PM all plans for how far the redskins will go are contingent on ramsey playing well... its just been assumed he's up to it... so here's hoping. heybigstar 03-08-2005, 04:42 PM I thought by taking the hit on Coles this year, that will add 8 million to our salary cap in 2006, providing us plenty of room ? Also, if we cut Brunell in 2006 after June 1st, could we take a small cap hit then> FRPLG 03-08-2005, 04:53 PM if we cut brunell after june 1 2006 we would take a 2006 cap hit of $1,433.33 and a 2007 hit of $4,300.00. his cap number for those year right now are $6,633.33 and $7,833.33 assuming he plays those seasons and gte paid his salary. aehs77 03-08-2005, 06:29 PM Rolle at 9 is looking better and better coggs 03-08-2005, 06:50 PM I would love for my boys to go after Smoot as the Will's (Peterson and Allen) are both terrible, but I think Plaxico is more important at this point. Need to get a deep threat for Eli, and an offense of Tiki, Shockey, Plax, and Toomer, and an improved OLine will be dangerous. So we will be the Marino-era Dolphins and lose games 48-45, but it will be fun to watch. TheMalcolmConnection 03-08-2005, 07:02 PM I don't know about taking a CB at #1. Again, we have other glaring needs and not only that, we have backup CBs that we have yet to look at with any type of scrutiny. To go out and pick one at #1 would be taking a huge gamble. |
