Here is an item I ran across in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram:
Team stability: In tearing up his coaching staff after only two years, Bill Parcells offered another reason why Philadelphia is well ahead of the Cowboys in the NFC East. The Eagles' staff is familiar. In Andy Reid's six seasons as head coach, only one assistant has departed: Leslie Frazier, to become Cincinnati's defensive coordinator in 2003. Coaching stability is invaluable.
Wow. Losing only one assistant coach in six years is pretty amazing.

That is amazing. Especially for a team with as much success as the Eagles.

Three of the reasons for the coaching stability in Philly are that:
a) Jimmie Johnson is perceived as being too old to take a job,
b) Brad Childress is perceived as doing what Andy Reid tells him, and
c) most importantly, the Eagles have gone deep enough in the playoffs the past four years that most of the hiring is done by the time their coaches can be interviewed.

It's still surprising that a few of the other assistants haven't gone to other teams for an opportunity to move up the coaching ladder, so to speak.

Let's be logical about this...
I would assume ta hat team that has been not just consistently good but THE BEST team in the NFC for four years would have some coveted assistants. Not necessarily guys to take HC jobs but guys to become coordinators. It therefore seems odd that only ONE has moved on. Can it be that they are all just as loyal as hell? That's asanine. This is these guys' career and when you're a LB coach for a quality defense on a playoff caliber team you should be getting looks at for DC jobs. And if offered one you would take it as it is an obvious step foward in your career. So why aren't any of their assistants respected? Curious...

Ya think we can keep Williams for six years? :embarrassYes reason being is I truely believe he will be Coach Gibbs predasesor. The only way he may leave is if Coach Gibbs signs an extension.
