Young, rated out as a better MLB (16) than both Perry (30) and London (24) [according to nfldraftscout's top 60 ILBs], and said he prefers to play in the 34 defense. He supposedly is a 2 down LB, but in the 3-4, he may not be just a 2 down LB. I know people are high on Keenan Robinson, but the dude didn't start and only played in very limited packages and tore his pec. Translation; I'm not sold as him starting right after London retires. Even Perry played and stayed healthy a lot his first year as an ILB. If we signed Rolando to a small deal, he'd be worth it to replace London or incase Riley leaves in FA or if Keenan doesn't work out, or if Keenan is only a passing down kind of LB and Rolando can play the other run downs.

I dont think it would kill us to do our research and give him a look, but I just dont think he will end up here.

His type of head case activities I have more a concern with than Honey Badger liking to get high in college.

Thank you. RBs and WRs = get them young and cheap. Our Offense produced even when Garçon and Davis were out. We don't need overpriced free agents. The Giants got great value for him, as he was an undrafted free agent. We should look to do the same.

I gotta disagree with you on this one. Get them young and cheap. Guys like Morris and Cruz don't just appear all the time. Morris is the leading rusher in Redskins history.

Cruz, another amazing story of huge production from a UDFA after spending a year on IR. We have been looking for someone other than Santana Moss for years, we are finally starting to get some now but we had to sign one to a big contract and the other to a big contract. Next year as we currently stand we are back to just Garcon.

Mike just needs to find the next Brandon Marshal (without the mental issues pleas), Elvis Dummervil, Ryan Clady, and a bad man at FS in the draft then we are set to hoist Lombardisss... lol

Shanallen put a premium on character. I don't think that Rolando McClain will pass muster on this count.

I agree with you, but after last seasons 7 game win streak I think we have strong character guys in our locker room to mold these low chararcter guys. Our Captains, got guys to beleive 1 game at a time and we can do this.

While they may have put a premium on it, they certainly arent afraid to try some lesser character guys. They did sign TJax and Merriweather. We were desperate at that position, but they have experimented with trying talent and seeing if our team leaders could keep them in place.

You cant just cut everyone that screws up once such as Davis and Williams (they seem to have gotten it), but we arent talking about that with Tokemup Jackson. He came over with a ton of baggage. He was already at the gone indefinitely with the option to appeal in 1 year for another failed test before we signed him.

exactly. And Shanahan did also draft Maurice Clarette and Brandon Marshall, sign Romanowski and other guys who were viewed as bad people in the public eye. Hell Josh morgan last year did an incredibly stupid thing on the field, and when most people were saying "Cut that headcase" Shanahan and Allen kept him. So no we're not a team full of choir boys.

Off the field Morgan is a great man in the community. He let his emotions get the best of him in the Rams game but that was an isolated incident.

IMO Shanny in DC has put more of an emphasis on character than Shanny in Denver, and if so, the Broncos you mention don't really affect the discussion of current Shanny.

Shanahan will still take chances (as someone else said) he's gone after Meriweather with his head hunting on the field and DUI's off the field, to Tanard and his constant suspensions, Trent and Fred may have had good seasons last year but they're also one puff away from being suspended for a while, so they're not perfect character guys, because weed and being tolerant of it can also put a bad culture in a lockeroom (not saying Shanahan isn't, because he's not going to cut his LT or starting TE). I understand McClain to you would fit more in the Meriweather catergory because he got arrested, but he's worth a chance. You don't loose anything if you sign him to a 1 year deal w/ limited guaranteed money.
