The Seahawks probably did not see anyone of value in this year's draft in the first round. They have been trying to get a big play receiver the past couple of years and have missed out, second round and possibly a third round pick is what I would have given up but if you are going to trade a 1st round draft pick this is the year to do it. Honestly I would take Harvin over every receiver the Redskins currently have on their roster.

Boldin was a great pickup for the 49ers. Crabtree, Davis, Boldin, their OLine, and their running backs. I do not see anyone stopping that offense. Especially with Kapernick looking more and more like the real deal. Of course their defense took a huge step back mainly due to Justin Smith being injured but the man is turning 34 and when you are that old injuries have a way of lingering more often that not. But the NFC West should still run through them but I think it will be a lot closer than it was last year. Seahawks have an excellent chance of winning that division with the Rams creeping up. Cardinals will always miss Kurt Warner.

according to rotoworld Greg Toler resigns with Arizona

Whoops. As musicmaster45 just shared...we can still get him.

Toler has not re-signed...
CORRECTION: Rashad Johnson has signed a 3-year deal with Cardinals. Wires crossed with source. My apologies everyone.

Wonder if we can afford to sign Toler and Talib after cutting Hall?

F Seattle getting Harvin. I hate Seattle.

Maybe he'll continue to get hurt and burn them like Matt Flynn.

besides a young QB (lacking experience, not talent), SF looks to have all the pieces.

Its still a lot to give up for a player. Just because this ''isn't a good year for first rounders'' doesn't mean there are no players you could have gotten at other positions in the first or stockpile picks. Or perhaps they could have made another reach and gotten a 2nd round guy in the first again (Bruce Irvin example).

Rich Eisen pointed out that the last 3 WR trades involving first rounders have been awful (Peerless Price, Roy Williams, Deion Branch). Add to that that Percy Harvin has yet to play a full season in the NFL, suffers from migraines, wants Calvin Johnson money, and couldn't even get along with Leslie Frazier, and IMO you have a trade that has more bust than boom.

Also Ed Reed to San Fran; you heard it here first.

True, but many more examples of 1st or 2nd round WR busts. Your blind if you cant see how this makes perfect sense for Seattle. That offense needs a play maker to compliment Wilson. Why not surround him with one? Not too many potential playmakers in the league like Harvin. PR/KR, WR and RB...he does it all. Is there a risk? OF COURSE, there always is with talent like this. Was there a risk with RG3, OF COURSE, there always is with talent like this.
