Dear God, I'm losing it here. We need to make a FA move... After winning so many offseasons, I feel like a crack fiend going through withdraw!

Im not really fiending, but little worried we are missing 1 starting TE, 1 starting CB, 1 starting FS, 1 starting Right Tackle and 1 nickle Corner. Especially from a secondary that struggled all last season.

Too funny, I came online just to post basically the exact same thing. I was gonna go with "I need a shot of adrenaline to stay alive, because this free agency is boring me to death".

How have we not burned through at least one 50 million dollar contract yet???? I know we don't have it, but we've been determined in the past to find a way to blow some money (cough cough Mike Wallace cough).

But I did hear we drafted RGIII last year, so that always brings me back to a good place.

Asante Samuel wasn't good. He was another clone of D. Hall that loved to jump routes. Ask most of the Philly fans about him, and look how that Falcons secondary got torched.

He's better at it than Hall. I've seen him seal many games, and notice the falcons held on to him and released the other 2 starters grimes and Robinson

Terrible!! I mean, who wants corner picking off 9 or 10 interceptions a season?!

I think our RT comes down to Compton vs Pashos. That's as good as it's gonna get this year barring a major surprise. TE is Fred Davis or Paulson. Paulson started nearly half the season so I wouldn't say we are missing a starting TE, and we basically were missing a CB and 2 Safeties all last year :cheeky-sm so if we are only down 1 and 1, maybe we gained without knowing it.

He had 15 picks combined in the last three years.
Thats pretty decent.

Saying he's better than Hall isn't saying much. Hall is one of the worst rated CBs in the league.

Also, they haven't released Grimes as he's a UFA. Grimes was their Franchise tagged player last year and commanded a 10+ million salary. He's very much on their radar.

No deal between Brent Grimes, Falcons | ProFootballTalk (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/03/12/no-deal-between-brent-grimes-falcons/)

Robinson? He was cut purely for money.

Y! SPORTS (http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/falcons-release-michael-turner-john-abraham-dunta-robinson-153904417--nfl.html)

Robinson turns 31 in April and was entering the back-end of his contract, which had three seasons and $29.5 million remaining, including an $8 million base salary and $9 million cap number in 2013.

Considering Asante had the cheaper contract, it's not hard to see why they cut him over AS. You cut a player with a 8 million salary or a 3 million?

Even last year, DR had a much higher salary cap and it wasn't going to get any better this season.

I'll be mildly surprised if Pashos even makes the team.

Show me the numbers on how many TDs he's given up. I'll be waiting for it. I'm willing to bet you my house that it's been more than 9 or 10. Go to any Philly board and ask them what a liability he was on the field. He's a gambler. Sure his INTs are high, but it usually ends up with bigger stats when it comes to receptions allowed, yards allowed, TDs allowed.

Rich Campbell made the point that Cason and DMC both took 1 year deals in this market looking toward next year when its not so crowded, but that points to an interesting question about our intentions too, have we been letting agents know that we have interest but can't do much this year?
