Contract is signed already Yep, taking over Zo's role IMO. REDSKINS4ever 03-14-2013, 05:37 PM Davis definitely adds an element to the offense that can't be replicated by Paulsen. If we lose Davis it's a hit to the offense no doubt. I agree. I remember the first game of the 2011 season where Davis had his first 100 yard career game against the Giants. But that drug suspension and trying to come off this Achilles injury has lowered his potential for a big contract that he probably will never receive. But I'm willing to bet that some team in the NFL would be willing to give him a better deal than the Redskins. Besides, else could there be that is taking the Redskins so long to present Davis a contract? skinsy 03-14-2013, 05:55 PM We need a solid veteran CB. But we can't afford Davis if we do that. To get a Talib (Or Fred Davis back, for that matter) or similiar, we are going to have to cut/restructure more guys. Thats probably the hold up right now, no one willing to step up and restructure... I still think we will end up with Talib. How?? No idea. But I think it will still happen. CultBrennan59 03-14-2013, 06:35 PM That's what I thought. Pineapple Jesus lives. https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTnh8RIHt0mFJalbNsjUkmGV_JjJqdm3 AWqsrJLcRZYJav8s_gAkg That Guy 03-14-2013, 06:36 PM all the TE equivalents of davis are gone. there's him and keller left, and davis is the better option. our offense isn't as good without him (assuming his injury is fully healed by sept). it looks like davis and a CB is what we need before the draft. i'd love to grab a safety (and vollmer at RT) too, but i don't think we'll get that far. philly added kenny phillips and connor barwin today. that sucks. decent players at low cost. skinsfaninok 03-14-2013, 06:54 PM If Talib was so great why did Tampa let him go for nothing? Lotus 03-14-2013, 06:55 PM Well surely you've seen him play right? Do you believe what you just said? Talib is a very good corner. Actually Talib's numbers (posted earlier in this thread) show that he is rather middle-of-the-road ordinary. Added to this, of course, are his off-field concerns. Yet some folks here (not pointing at you) treat him like he was Revis or something. I'm not buying. |
