I hate that talib is still out there it's like the nfl and patriots are taunting us with him still being out there.

But then all the good free agents are taken. If I were the Redskins, I wouldn't bring any free agents; I would wait for the draft.

Not necessarily you look at last year Jacob Tamme was signed in late march, I want to say on March 23rd or 24th, he had a good year for the Broncos. I think their other tight end was signed on the same day in Dreessen.

You look at Donnie Avery he was signed around that same time period and made around 600,000 and he had 60 catches for the Colts this past year.

Ravens got Corey Graham in late march and he made less than a million and he played well for the Ravens.

You will be surprised at who is available toward the end of free agency.

My take on signing free agents is don't go for the names you go for the value, and the longer you can wait the more value you can obtain. I am not saying wait until August to fill your roster. But I am saying have some patience let the market pay out and see who is available at your price, not theirs. A lot of those late value players will end up playing important roles.

Or maybe he's just not that good.

Well surely you've seen him play right? Do you believe what you just said?

Talib is a very good corner.

Wondering what Pitt is doing with Lewis, Tampa is doing with Biggers, even the Bears with Moore (they already said they have no intention of bringing him back).

A lot of these corners are solid or show some potential. It will be interesting to see what happens. Pacman Jones is still out there too.

I hate that Fred Davis is seen as a priority. He's so replaceable in my opinion.. Can't block at all and that scares me with our QB.

I'm not as down on him as you are, but he should definely not be any sort of priority. We can get by without a fast, past catching TE for one year. Next year we'll have tons of cap space and can splurge on non-necessities like that in FA.

Or we could do what the Colts did and draft some 3rd/4th rounder and start him. Historically late round TE's do perform well.

Yup. If we lose Fred, its not the worst thing in the world. We had a potent offense without him for much of last year. Given all our other needs, TE is not a position worth breaking the bank for, especially not one coming of a major injury and one mistake away from a 1 year suspension.

We can get buy with paulsen and a cheaper, pass catching TE this year. Next year, we'll have plenty of money to splurge on"non-essential but "nice to have" guys like Davis.

Basically agree with this. Lunch Pale Logan can be just as effective TE as Davis, albeit in a different way. Logan is bigger/taller and will dominate defenders in the redzone/endzone if he tightens up his routes and continues to improve his hands.
