I don't buy Taylor dropping that far, no way. If he does drop past the top 5 he'll be an absolute steal.

I think our targets are still Taylor and Winslow at #5, both are instant impact players who have All-Pro written all over them. Harris would be a bit of a reach that high, but nothing would surprise me after the kind of offseason we've had so far.

I thought the chance of Gibbs coming back was 0 to none, so I can't rule anything out anymore, LOL.

I don't disagree with his natural talent( I think he was recorded as having something close to a 4.2or 4.3 in the 40yard dash this past fall) both as a corner and returner ala Dieon, but he disappeared at times this year and got burnt a few times when they actually threw to his side.
That being said I think he will be a very good DB in a year or two under NFL coaching cuz this guy is a playmaker when he gets his hands on the ball through both INT and returns. to bad we couldn't be in a situation like the Jets were a couple of years ago with 3 or 4 first round picks I think it was. In this years draft u could easily aquire 3-4 starters with those picks.

When you think about it, all Mocks do is give you the names of the potential draftees and some Mocks have a pretty good reputation. But don't give them a lot of credit except the Names. Those names are interchangeable to any point on Draft day. Everything depends on Best Available player philosophy vs. Draft Needs! I've seen Taylor, Winslow, and Trade down all used in the same sentence in the Washington Post, which I believe is the closest indicator to the heartbeat of the collective braintrust at the Redskins FO! I've even thought about using the percentage philosophy. You know, how many times is S. Taylors name shown as the #5 pick from those 108 Mocks! Nah, nobody would do that, would they?

Kenchi Udeze is like 6'3", 280, runs a 4.75 40, a junior, and had 16 1/2 sacks this season. In the Rose bowl though, he had 3 sacks against Michigan. But he also can play the run, which is important for our defense. He is far and away the number 1 scout for DE's.

Tommi Harris is 6'3" 288, and runs a 4.95. He's real quick and can tackle well, but he is criticized because he doesn't always hustle. And he doesn't have the size of a big d-lineman to plug two gaps. In fact,Kenechi is almost as big as he is, and much faster.

I agree that Winslow is two much of an ego. He's got amazing hands, but he's so small (6-4 251) that he really just doesn't fit into Joe Gibbs system.

Sean Taylor is another good option (6-3 220, runs a 4.4 40) but I think our more pressing needs are upfront, and a high impact dlineman would help us in the short term and (because Kenechi is young and coachable) in the long term as well.

I just read an article on that matty, apparently he started off as a defensive end, and then was switched at some point, the article didn't go into detail on when or why, although he must not have been that good or they wouldn't have switched him.
