Field Turf is not the sad old astroturf. It's the shredded tire stuff like they have in Detroit.
Personally I'm fine if we stick to grass.
I'm fine with grass, so long as it can actually be maintained this year. That game against Seattle was a disgrace.

Very stupid move, need to get that done. Why no explination?
I don't understand why everyone wants field turf. Lots of players get hurt on this surface. Other stadiums have nice natural grass and don't have issues. The question is why can't we get our grass maintenance to be as nicely kept up as other team's facilities?
FA priority #1. Field maintenance team!!!

I prefer real grass, if maintained.
Players complain about the field turf too, and it's rougher on the knees, maybe not a good idea when you have a QB coming off knee surgery?

Pittsburgh re-sods (or does something similar) halfway through the season. BA said that the Skins didn't do that last year, but will going forward.

What they should do is put down brand new grass and not schedule any events at FedEx during the football season. If you continuing having these concerts, soccer and football games there during the season, it's simply going to destroy the grass.
I think you'll see what Dan cherishes more. His players safety or money.
This is how grass is supposed to be for a outdoor football stadium.

Our crew does a excellent job at keeping the field in top shape all year long. (especially the football season)
Good. Football is supposed to be played outside, on grass.

Whatever Ron Swanson says works for me.

I'm sure PG county would for DS to stop holding events there for half the year. They'll be all over that idea. The place exists to hold events, 10 a year are football games. Don't ignore the fact that owning the Redskins isn't the only thing DS does. He is a business guy and owning Fedex means using it to make money.

Some of you really make me shake my head.
I've watched the Redskins have some of their greatest wins in the sloppy mud trenches of RFK back in the day.
It was 10 times worse than that Seattle game.
Maybe we should give the players silk hankies and Grey Poupon during the game too.

Exactly! That's why I thought it was kind of "pantyish" of the media, especially Pete Carroll as well, to bitch and moan about the playing field when I've seen the Redskins play on much, much worse and have some of their greatest games on such fields.
The biggest mistake was it wasn't re-sodded during the bye week. They'll hopefully take care of that this season, and the 'skins will WIN their playoff game(s) there this year.
