That play against Minnesota was one of the best of the year
Yup. That was his rookie Heisman moment.

Alvin Walton 02-03-2013, 12:30 PM So then, RGIII is better than Andrew Luck? Thats a given now? Giantone 02-03-2013, 12:38 PM So then, RGIII is better than Andrew Luck? Thats a given now? Maybe ask that question in 15 years. skinsfaninok 02-03-2013, 01:05 PM So then, RGIII is better than Andrew Luck? Thats a given now? No. Luck is just as good CultBrennan59 02-03-2013, 01:14 PM Luck RG3 debate will be going on for years. Luck didn't do as well in his rookie season (way too many INTS to the 5 Robert had). They're also 2 different kinds of QBs. BigHairedAristocrat 02-03-2013, 01:15 PM No. Luck is just as good Look at the stats. Right now he's not and its not even close. skinsfaninok 02-03-2013, 01:23 PM Look at the stats. Right now he's not and its not even close. I agree but luck had less help around him than griff did. Other than Reggie Wayne who else did he have? He was asked to do much more than Robert in the passing game. I think both will be neck and neck for years to come. CRedskinsRule 02-03-2013, 01:34 PM I just don't get it. Luck lost to Griffin in the Heismann race, he lost substantially in the ROY race, Griffins stat in passer rating, completion percent, total qbr (which I haven't really bought into yet), TD-INT Ratio, total ints not only beat Lucks, but mostly demolish them. if you dont think Griffin is the better player, right now and the past two years, what would you have to see to change your mind? (serious question) Luck makes some amazing plays, but his body of work is what it is. And right now its not better than Griffins. REDSKINS4ever 02-03-2013, 01:34 PM One of the things that went against Luck winning the award was his 18 INTs. Griffin III had only 5. RG3 also plays in a much more tougher division than Luck....and take into consideration all of the rookie records that Robert broke. He deserved the R.O.Y. award. MTK 02-03-2013, 01:39 PM I agree but luck had less help around him than griff did. Other than Reggie Wayne who else did he have? He was asked to do much more than Robert in the passing game. I think both will be neck and neck for years to come. Luck had plenty of "help". Avery had 60 catches, Hilton had 50 as a rookie, Allen and Fleener combined for 71 catches at the TE spot. In the running game Ballard and Brown combined for over 1200 yards. Luck didn't have to deal with losing his top WR & TE for half the season either. |
