I think the easiest way to solve the problem is let the gays have their own shower and locker rooms. And the strait men have their own. That way both strait men and gays have their rights intact. If a gay wants to use the strait locker room or shower, he is not allowed. And if a strait man (he wouldn't want to) wants to use the gay locker room or shower, he is not allowed. No different than separating men from women. Equal rights for all...

I'm a straight man. But under your system, I would intentionally use the gay locker room as an act of defiance against injustice. What you suggest is "equal rights" actually is segregation. You do realize that as a society we left "separate but equal" in the dust as unjust quite some time ago?

With all respect, in your thinking about gender you are a sad dinosaur.

I'm fascinated to see who might be and who isn't. Wouldn't you be surprised to find out that player X whom you've rooted for was gay. The real question is why wouldn't you want to know?

Why? You act is being gay is some freak show at the circus. A mutant out of X-men. These people are normal everyday joes (and janes) like you and me, they simply are attracted to people of the same sex.

So no I don't give a shit if some dude I rooted for is gay, nor do I care to know because it's not really relevant to why I cheered for said player.

As to your comment that gays and men should have separate showers, you forget the main point. They are STILL men. They aren't some inferior being or some side gender, and to treat them as such is laughable and ignorant to say the least.[/SIZE]

Why do you automatically assume that I want to kick gays out. I would be all for making the existing lockers and showers for gays only.

It's like that episode of Seinfeld were Elaine isn't sure if she's dating a black guy or not and Jerry said what does it matter and Elaine replies because its something Im curious about.

Believe me I'm not in the minority here as to who would like I know who in the nfl is gay. I mean if we made a thread on Teo and lots of people there are speculating if he's gay or not than I'm pretty sure if there was a thread on this topic it would grow in popularity just like this one has.

Yes. Let's have a thread which is baseless pure speculation without evidence (since no one has come out). Further, let's make that thread about an issue which is none of our business. Great idea.

Nowhere did I imply or say you wanted them kicked out. I said you were treating them as a separate gender and you are by wanting separate locker rooms for gays.

Male/Female is a gender.

Heterosexual/Homosexual is sexual preference.

Being homosexual doesn't change your gender. Neither should it change your bathroom or locker room.
