REDSKINS4ever 01-27-2013, 08:44 PM What are your expectations going forward? After a season in which the Washington Redskins were very competitive in all but two games(Pittsburgh & Carolina) and seeing that five of their seven losses could have ended up as wins, what are your expectations for next year? Bruce Allen and Mike Shanahan have drafted, traded for, and signed quality free agents to assist in helping this team win.
But in the near future, where do you see the Redskins? The last three times the Redskins made the playoffs(under Norv Turner and Joe Gibbs 2wice) the Redskins had difficulty returning the years afterwards. Where do you guys see this team in 2013 and beyond?

My guess is that we miss the playoffs next year due to RG3 still recovering from the injury. But who knows.

Well, RG3 was the main reason why the Redskins did well last season. But we still don't don't whether or not he can return back in time for the season opener. I have firm trust that with Kirk Cousins leading the Redskins offense, and with a much improved pass defense, the Redskins can be a 9 or 10 win team once again.
Chico23231 01-27-2013, 09:06 PM I think it depends on the status of RG3. If he is ready to go next year, I think we can compete for the division title. If he is not, then its gonna depends more on the improvement of defense. If healthy and an improved talent in the secondary, then a division title is not out of the question with Cousins.
CultBrennan59 01-27-2013, 09:18 PM Depends on how much we improve the secondary and who our first 4-6 games are and how RG3 does recovering from his injury.
TheSmurfs22 01-27-2013, 09:33 PM Depends on RG3's progress and what we can do to improve our secondary. We flew under the radar some this year which caught teams by surprise. Right now my gut says 8-8.
44ever 01-27-2013, 09:52 PM The entire fate of the Redskins will rest in the hands of Kirk Cousins. It is he that will determine the kind of season we will have. With the return of Rak our D should be solid up front, I would like to see a little more stability in the secondary. I believe the Skins can make the playoffs again with or without RG3, Morris will be a big factor in breaking in Cousins or if by some miracle RG3 should return, Morris will help to re-acclimate him.
artmonkforhallofamein07 01-27-2013, 10:09 PM I fully expect more progress and I fully expect this team to keep winning. Either with or without RG III under center I still believe we will win a bunch of games next year.
The FO will make improvements to the team as a whole and I whole heartedly believe we will compete for and win the division again, and make some noise in the playoffs. Just my 2cents

If RG3 is not ready for the season, the coaches will be ready so the entire fate will not be in Cousins hand. The coaches will have a game plan to take the pressure off Cousins if he has to start. No way they will put it all on him.
CRedskinsRule 01-27-2013, 10:22 PM We went 3- 6, then got it together and went 7-0. And 5-1 in division. I don't see any reason why we would take a major step back, even with Griffin out the first 6 weeks (my expectation). Cousins showed he has a level of ability, I am confident we can go at least 3-3, especially since one of the main things that we did in the last half was cut down on mistakes. I think we will do good in the division again, and will make it back to the playoffs.
