Looking at the field in Denver it clearly is a victim of a full seasons use but they sure have made it look pretty decent for this game. A little envious. Maybe the FedEx grounds crew is to blame.
I haven't commented before, but a few thoughts:
1) the first thing I heard the Sirius announcing crew today said what a bad condition the denver field is in.
2) Heinz Field does some rework on their field midway through the season
3) at 3 - 6 and not having had a home playoff game in 13 years, I imagine Snyder has been cheap on the end of season field. By the time we were back in the chase, I doubt they could have done much to make it better.
4) I expect that going forward, we will at the least follow the same procedures Heinz uses
I think people do care because I hear them talk about it and they think it should be changed.
I dont see the name being changed by force but it will be changed by the organization when they decide the time is right. That time might be in 1 year or it might be in 10 years but the time will come. Kind of like Augusta National and female members.
People that talk about it are few and far between. It's just not an issue that has enough public backing.
Comparing this to Augutsa is a bit of a stretch.
Why would the team change it voluntarily without being pressured? When the time is right? What does that even mean?

Maybe where you are people dont talk about it but where I am they do and they arent few and far between.
I guess you'd have to ask Augusta why they decided the time was right and I'm not sure they could really even give you an answer. If I knew when the time is right I could tell you when this will go down but i dont know when t is or what it means. There isnt and wont be a logical reason why the time is right but the decision will be made and that's when the time will be right.

They have a hybrid field. If you scroll back a page or two there is an article written about the surface.
Hybrid or not, their field sure doesn't look so hot.

From what I have been hearing he really wants the team back in DC but once again DC city council is screwing it up.
I'm sure he does but as was said before JKC locked that place up tight for a while in PG county.Between infrastucture deals and tax deals with the county and the state I think (not sure) it might be another tenyears before Snyder can move the team without it costing him a fortune
A Little history on Fed Ex,the lease is up in 2027.

Hard to imagine the name change thing ever happening. Just not enough public outcry to force Snyder's hand for one... i.e nobody really cares. Second, countless court battles have been found in the team's favor.
Not happening.
Yeah, if the name of the team changed it would have happened a very long time ago. And most people are okay with the Redskins name. I for one feel the name of the team should be changed to that of one of the long standing native tribes, but I don't truly see what difference it makes.....
