yeah they really made progress in the last five games. we were 3-2 during that stretch. he made improvements.

Not to mention the fact that they were actually moving the ball and scoring too.

The Skins did make strides their last 6 games where Ramsey started. We beat the 49ers (literally the worst team in the league and a team a Pop Warner team could've beaten), the Giants (who were awful late in the season), and the Vikings (who never win outdoors late in the season - see, the Cardinals from 2003). We narrowly lost to the Eagles and Steelers (arguably 2 of the best teams in the league) and the Cowboys (who were pretty bad).

So, it's really up in the air. We improved with Ramsey at the helm, but we weren't clicking on offense.

we would've beaten the eagles if it weren't for that one last interception. i think we will beat them next year. i have to be concerned about the cowboys. that was the only game the defense slipped up in the final minutes.

I really don't think we need Santana Moss. Our other wideouts such as Taylor Jacobs and D McCants were comparable to him. We should have gotten a draft pick or D-Line men for Coles...IMO

I think Ramsey is the key to "wins". The fewer new WRs, the better. All I can say is Ramsey better get to know these blokes (and how they run and catch) extremely well before the season begins, or else we'll start to look for excuses like - "oh the offense is still getting acclimated to Gibbs' system", and "Gee, we didn't have continuity at the WR position", and other excuses along those pitiful lines. This is the year Ramsey has to prove that he's got what it takes to be a quality starting QB in this league - seeing the field well, and making plays - he can't hide behind "new system" and "poor protection", anymore.

We still have Trash, Jacobs, and Cooley. Patrick is in rythem with them already. Patten has to be better than Gardner. So, to make sure we don't drop off from last year, Moss would have to be able to catch a WR screen pass the way Coles did all season. I'm sure that he can.

Gibbs needs to develop offensive continuity on the deeper passes. The rest of the offense should pick right up where it left off (with an improving running game thanks to our new center).

Two new WR's is not going to make life easier for Ramsey. We all knew Gardner was going, but now Coles to means we are completely starting over in the passing game, so any momentum gained at the end of last season means nothing.

yeah thats true. he just needs to work with them a hell of a lot during the offseason.

This is the best situation for players like Jacobs, Thrash, McCants if they go to practice with Pat and develop a chemistry they can find themselves in the game more often.

I heard that after Antrell Rolle's great workouts, he's lept over Pac Man Jones as the top corner in the draft. Maybe if Smoot doesn't come back we'll draft Rolle.

Then what would SkinsNCanes's avatar look like?

lol

Oh Lord  and the next thing you know Michael Irvin will come out of retirement and announce he's signed on for the Redskins for the league minimum just so he can play with his college alumni............... :vomit-smi

I do agree that Ramsey is the key to the season and given my name, I have faith we'll go to the Super Bowl. :)
