damn that would suck. gardner was a first round pick. i would at least think we would get maybe a second round. maybe marty schottenheimer would give us a second round pick for him. im not sure about anyone else.

Gerrard Warren was the third overall pick and he got shipped out to Denver for only a fourth rounder.

Just cuz he was a first round pick, doesnt mean he wasnt a bust, and if we get a third for him, I will be impressed.

I think a fourth is the best we can get, and most likely will settle for anything. Get the cancer outta here.

you won't see a 2nd. MAYBE a 3rd.

I want Jacobs to get into the starting lineup. I think he can. Patten isn't a starter type of guy, but if he goes to church with Joe Gibbs he knows he'll start for at least 8 weeks.

 yea...might be some truth to that. Hey Daseal, wheres your boy spurrier, with moss we now have the offense that hes always dreamed of having.

yeah if we could trade gardner and our first round pick to the bucs for their first round pick i'd say that's a good trade. yeah i know im too hopeful that we would get a second round pick, but i would be okay with a third or fourth round pick.

I love how everybody thinks that because we draft some guy in the first round then we should get a first round pick in exchange. The guy can't catch!! We'll be lucky to get a mid round pick for him. Nobody in their right mind is going to trade a first or even a second with the receivers (though not spectacular) that are available especially for a guy, who once again, can't catch!

i didn't say i wanted a first round pick for him. i would like to see a second round pick at the most. i know thats asking for alot. i would just want something higher than a fourth round pick for him.

I hear you Mooby and I hope the Chargers and Marty are just dumb enough to do it. I just think that most teams rather pick up a receiver in the draft (1st or 2nd round) then get Gardner. Maybe if the top 6 or so are off the board early, we might be able to get a late 2nd but I'm thinking realisticaly that we'll get no higher than a 3rd. Hope I'm wrong. Maybe Marty gives up the 1st they got from the Gints!

lol he would really have to be stupid to do that. i think the only way marty would give up a second round pick is because he's the one that drafted gardner and he likes him. maybe he would be willing to do that. anything in or higher than the fourth round would be good.

The ideal trade:

R Gardner, M Barrow and R Roayl

for

A Gates, D Edwards and Q Jammer

Hey, I can dream, can't I?

I think that Gardner is worth about a 5th rounder. Since several teams are interested, and there are very few free agent WRs out there, I'll bet there becomes a decent market for him and maybe they bid it up to a 4th rounder. But you'll never get a 3rd or higher, cause he just plain sucks. We wiffed on that pick.

To tell you the truth, I don't think we need to draft a WR. If we did end up with Williams or Williamson, I'd be happy. But I don't think a WR is really needed. I like our corps as it is, reminds me BIG TIME of the Patriots WRs from last year. All small, all fast, all good route-runners. None will be big-time stars. Branch was a bit better than the rest of the Pats WRs, and the same can be said for Moss. Of course, one common thread obviously is Patten.

Drafting a WR would work for me, but I also would be happy with Pac-Man Jones or a defensive end.
