So Kelly annouced he took the job one day after the deadline for underclassmen to declare for the draft. 2013 NFL Draft: Record-breaking underclassman crop dominates again - CBSSports.com (http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/blog/rob-rang/21562302/nfl-draft-recordbreaking-underclassman-crop-dominates-again)

Not sure if this impacts any Oregon players but you think Kelly could have timed it a bit better.

they had some great qbs in that era, household names, really:

brad otton
kyle wachholtz
john fox
mike van raaphorst

Oh man, now you're just bringing up my entire undergrad nightmare lol. Hey, Otton won us a Rose Bowl during that terrible 2 qb offense. And even Tom Brady wouldn't win under Paul Hackett.

Just was reading over on my favorite Love-To-Hate-Them Eagles forum. They are NOT enamored of this hire. LOLOL.

Damn I came here hoping this wasn't true.... I guess it's official, the Eagles & the Skins have totally switched team philosophies... How long before Kelly is on our sidelines giving bubble guppy lips during a MNF loss?

Response:

Depends on when their first MNF game is.

One more (just for it's poetic lilt):

Hey so farg this right in the goat ass. Gimmicky college offense can suck my fat white nut.

Just because you have luxury to do something, doesn't mean it's the best "moral" choice. It was a wise strategic move, but "inconsiderate" to the eagles and ducks. That was my only point.

All parties act the same so I don't blame him. If the Ducks decided to can him they would whenever they wanted and why would I care about the Eagles.

The Eagle's fan in JR's quote said exactly what I was thinking, between their big name signings, handling of Reid at the end, and now signing Spurr... Kelly. They may lay claim to the basement for the next several years! (i can only hope)

Eagles defense is loaded with bad, overrated players, many with bloated contracts. Kelly may put together a better offense, but their defense is garbage. The funny thing is they have major problems on the Oline and the QB as well and thats where Kelly will be expected to improve the team immediately. So he will be pressured right away for results on offense, so let's see it Chip. I personally dont believe he can, but if he is this must of a genius results should show right away.

Yeah, from a business standpoint, he played it perfectly. I am just more of a "let your yes mean yes and your no mean no" type person. i dont think i'd feel right doing what he did - but of course, I don't have the talents to ever be in that situation so who knows what i'd do lol.
