Chicago did win 10 games. Kind of rare to see someone win 10 games and get fired.

Kind of rare to see someone win 10 games and get fired. starting 7-1 and missing the playoffs is bad, doing similarly 2 years in a row(7-3 miss, 7-1 miss) is Very Very Bad. scowan 12-31-2012, 12:41 PM 90-10. A lot of progress made over the last month in keeping him Smoot, where are we.... In year 3 of a 5 year deal with Mike Shannahan? I hope Snyder is thinking like I am that either you resign Mike to a new contract down the road or Kyle becomes his successor. SBXVII 12-31-2012, 12:54 PM Isn't it nice that we aren't discussing who to pick if the top 5, if we should trade picks, who gets fired, who the free agents are. If anything, our off season talk should be about the rules for when other teams could try and interview Kyle for a head coaching job. So nice to be back in the playoffs. I'm sure its his dream but he needs to turn those offers down get this team a trophy for his dad then dad needs to keep his office job and let Kyle be HC of the Skins. CultBrennan59 12-31-2012, 12:55 PM I don't think Mike signs an extension with us. I think he coaches all 5 years with us then hands over HC duties to Kyle who will be 35 then and ready. SkinzWin 12-31-2012, 12:56 PM Kind of surprised Ron Rivera was let go. Got to give the guy more time to build the team. I love how these owners think changes coaches like they change their underwear will help the team. Change just for changes sake doesn't help when everyone has to start all over again. I think the biggest mistake so far was in Cleveland. The Browns were putting something together with a lot of young talent and now they are back to square one just like they have been constantly over the last decade. I think if they had kept the coaching staff in tact they could have been vying for a playoff birth next year. SBXVII 12-31-2012, 12:57 PM Chicago did win 10 games. Kind of rare to see someone win 10 games and get fired. Problem is their tired of him notngetting over the hump. Sound familiar...Schottenheimer, Norv is another. KI Skins Fan 12-31-2012, 12:59 PM Crennel should never get another HC job. He has just been horrible as a HC. I don't understand how the Jets could fire Tannenbaum and keep Rex Ryan. As long as Rex is their HC, the Jets will be a circus and nothing more. Sure, Norv deserved to be fired because the ups and downs for the Chargers have been ridiculous. And yet the real culprit for that franchise's downfall is A.J. Smith. His inflexible approach, which caused the Chargers to lose too many star players, gutted the team. It's about time Smith got canned. In Cleveland, a new owner and the RGIII trade that didn't happen doomed Holmgren, his GM, and his HC. I hate the way a bunch of high paid prima donnas quit on Andy Reid in Philadelphia. But I think he'll coach again in the NFL. He's too good to not get hired again. Hopefully, he'll take a year or two off because he needle on his stress meter must be in the red right now. I don't understand why Jim Schwartz is getting a pass in Detroit. The Lions have way too much talent to be so bad. That team is about as poorly coached as it gets. SBXVII 12-31-2012, 01:01 PM Kind of surprised Ron Rivera was let go. Thankfully Snyder Redskins 2.0 was smart enough to let others do their jobs. JoeRedskin 12-31-2012, 01:07 PM ... I don't understand how the Jets could fire Tannenbaum and keep Rex Ryan. As long as Rex is their HC, the Jets will be a circus and nothing more[.] Yeah. Rex's teams have gotten more and more dysfunctional as he coaches. I expect a complete implosion next year. The Jets' clown car will become an out of control careening circus of calamity. Bloody clown shoes will fly everywhere. |
