RG3 ready for Washington Redskins-Dallas Cowboys - NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000117346/article/rg3-ready-for-washington-redskinsdallas-cowboys)
Any hopes the Dallas Cowboys had for facing a limited version of Robert Griffin III this weekend have evaporated.
The Washington Redskins' rookie quarterback fully practiced Wednesday without any irritation from the sprained knee he suffered during a Week 14 win over the Baltimore Ravens.
The Goat 12-26-2012, 10:33 PM The Cowboys defense is decimated at this point. They lost their London Fletcher (Lee), another couple LBs, Ware is ailing, Ratliff hasn't been effective this season. We should gash them for huge yards and points regardless of the weather.
The question is their offense vs our defense. They'll show up. Romo is more consistent than year's past and they have a ton of talent. If our defense shows up we'll beat them handily, but otherwise I could see a shootout well into the 4th quarter.

Hard to believe because RG was surprisingly hobbled just three days ago. Especially early in the game, when he got outside the pocket a few times, that knee looked tender to the point he was really favoring it. But given the Cowboys depleted defense I don't think RG has to be at 100% for this one.

We will rape their horses and ride off on their women!

You might be right. But I'm starting to think more highly of our secondary. If Kerrigan and Riley get clear lanes to Romo then it will be a huge sack party for us. I'm expecting Haslett to dial up more blitzes in this game than any other this season.

I think our scheme/positioning has improved pass defense and the pressure/blitzes up front help a ton too. The deep safety, usually Williams, keeps the ball in front of him more often. And how awesome is it to see our front seven collapse the pocket more than a few times a game.
I still wish Haslett would dial up more safety/DB blitzes, more in line with what Pittsburgh does.

We probably blitz our DB's as much as any team in the league. For example, last week Madeiu Williams had a sack and DHall was in the backfield several times.
skinsnut 12-27-2012, 01:41 AM I am not as confident as some with our pass defense.
We barely beat a rookie QB on a 4-10 team, and yeah, we beat another below average team with a rookie QB with Cleveland. I have heard folks singing Haslett's praises.
Let's look at this realistically, the Skins are 28th in Pass Defense....that flat out sucks guys.
I am seriously worried...especially since Dez Bryant didn't get selected to the pro bowl...he will be super pumped and pissed off. Somehow, we need to jam the crap out of him and roll a safety over top. Dallas knows this...they will be keying on their 2nd receiver. I don't expect a ton of blitzing to minimize big play potential. Hopefully this slows their scoring down...but that means a lower scoring game....likely in the 21-24 zone with long drives. Romo is just going to throw up tons of jump balls to Bryant...maybe we put DeAngelo on him, just because he's more likely to gamble on a pick and just risk the sucky coverage?
