I thought so too. It seems like an attempt at a job-saving apology rather than a sincere apology.

It wouldn't surprise me if he and others did eventually.

Is he suspended with or without pay? If its with pay, then its not a punishment at all... its a christmas present. I'd love to be suspended 30 days with pay from my job.
