Call me greedy but I love the fact we have 2 good young QB's. I'd like to keep it that way. With RG3 out and no KC...we very well could have lost to Cleveland. A solid young backup is a great thing to have. We can still fill positions of need and even a 1rst round pick isn't a sure thing. I don't mind if we never trade him. We're set at QB even if Griff were to get injured and have to sit out a few games. That's an advantage not many teams have...and I'd like to keep it.

Yeah, this is what's it's all about. Stability at the most position on the field. I don't think we've been this stable at the quarterback position since Doug Williams was the starter and Mark Rypien was backing him up. bottom damn line, Kirk Cousins is a solid back up. I'd be worried as hell if Rex Grossman was RG3's back up.

I'm of the opnion we should keep Cousins and not shop him but that doesnt mean we cant review offers.
If we were offered a first and a player and or another pick it would be hard to turn down.

Keep Cousins, Jets got nothing we want....

Revis coming off torn ACL plus unhappy with contract, Sanchez with his massive guaranteed money for next season? People are silly.

I completely concur. But if the Redskins got a great deal for Cousins, who then becomes the back up QB? Would we then get a QB through free agency or do we draft another QB?

Revis and Tebow if Tebow agrees to either play TE or LB. Only joking a little

Teams need to give up a pick just for his contract alone...

im happy with keeping cousins, plus, it was one game... thats his job, come in and do ur best as our back up and hopefully win. he played great.. but i'd rather keep him then have to see rex at some point... he's a rookie it was his first game, he will only get better IMO through practice and learning more.. he will become MORE valuable next year or after, i like him here for now in case we need him.

Agreed completely.

I'd rather have Grossman playing than Sanchez, completely serious.

I do feel we should keep Cousins, at least for a few years. RGIII is an injury risk because of his abilities and style of play. Having Cousins as his backup is invaluable.

If we do decide to trade him, we need to pull off a Kolb-like or better hornswoggling. (never used that word in my life but I'm in that kind of mood right now)

We need to get a 1st and a player or a couple of seconds at minimum.

The next draft is going to be a weak QB class though, so this might be the best time to deal him. I know the plan was likely to trade him in a few years but as strange as it may sound, his value may be at its peak after this one game and coupled with the draft options in 2013.

I'd really rather hold onto him though. We know Griffin will get hurt from time-to-time and God forbid if he becomes Mike Vick and can't complete a full season for his whole career, we need a capable backup.

We're going to have to do something before his contract is up though, because he will get offers to start somewhere and will walk.

If Matt Flynn, Kevin Kolb and Charlie Whitehurst can get their massive paydays without showing anything at all, think how much demand Cousins will have if he has a few more games like the Cleveland performance. He can do that...this system fits his skillset perfectly.
