At this point Jet fans are so desperate for a QB that Josh McCown is probably starting to look good. Believe me as a Redskin fan I've been there. Ironically though it's not really Sanchez's fault. Granted no NFL QB should struggle weak in and weak out to break the 200 yard mark but the personel has gotten significantly worse around him. Aging O-Line, weak running game, no real good receiving threats. Either way I'm glad we lost our bid to trade up for him.

I had no idea we bid for Sanchez...geez.

This knee-jerk let's trade Cousins thinking reminds me of when we let Ryan Clark go (still pissed about this). This is Vinny-think. I know it's not the same situation but c'mon, we want these guys on our team.

The only real answer is to wait until we get an offer we cant refuse. Cousins is going to leave as soon he can, he wants to start, not back up. That means we have three total years to get what we can for him and train a replacement. This is year one. Once we get an offer that is too rich for us to turn down he will be gone.

That is the only way to play this. If he leaves via FA after year 4 - I think we miss a huge opportunity.

I know this makes some mad but here goes,,,,,, KC1 stays put, he has skills and will be a great backup for RGIII and when the time comes and it will be sooner than later if the galloping gazelle doesn't watch himself on the field Capain Kirk will step in and take the reigns quite nicely I believe.

The Jets need a new Head Coach more than anything else.

Can you provide tangible evidence to support this claim?

Rex Ryan inherited a team that went 9-7 the year before him, and goes 9-7 again but just got lucky that he made the playoffs. He has no leadership in that locker room, his team looks completely lost, for some reason the drafts before he was there were solid even with the GM they had (with the exception Gholston of course) and then when he arrives they start picking players like... Mark Sanchez. A bunch of questionable off season moves like giving Scott 48 million when he was on the decline, looked good a couple of games and everyone thought he was a beast. This year he is showing that one season is not worth what they signed him for.

Rex Ryan is a defensive coordinator he has shown lack of leadership in that locker room, he does not evaluate talent well at all seeing as all his good players were there before he arrived, he inherited a good/talented team and then messed it up and you can see just by watching the jets they are leaderless.

Boil it down to the simple fact that the Jets have no ability to select quality, or even mediocre players in the draft or via Free Agency. They have NO ONE around Sanchez. Defense is average, no run game, no receivers to throw to. NOTHING. The GM and Rexy's personnel selections ain't so sexy. Poopoo talent=bye bye job.
