Yup. I saw up close some players, well known players, drink ungodly amounts right before my eyes. The quieter ones were generally the ones who just sat alone and drank more. The "partiers" were the ones who would nurse their one or two drinks all night while being social

There was a story in the old days (80's) about the Skins and the equipment room, shack...whatever about an on going card game and kegs of beer.Riggins use to tell it, so did Joe T.I think every team back then had something like that, times change.

It shouldn't be a big surprise that alcohol use by players is fairly wide spread. That's usually what happens when you get a bunch of guys together right? Add in guys with a lot of money and celebrity status, and it's party time.

I thought given the importance of their body they would be more responsible, at least during the season...
I'm not judging them, they're under a lot of pressure and everything but I really thing the idea that this is some minor issue has to be fought, I really think this hurts them, physically.
You can't be a top athlete who puts his body on the line every week and pretend you're an average guy that can have fun whenever he wants...

Thing is, the more money they make the less they have to spend. Free drinks all night long. Just let me put your name on the flyer promoting my club on Friday nights and I'll hook you up with VIP-VIP status all night long. Thanks , that sounds great . What is the name of your club and how do I get there ? :)
