It shouldn't be a big surprise that alcohol use by players is fairly wide spread. That's usually what happens when you get a bunch of guys together right? Add in guys with a lot of money and celebrity status, and it's party time.lol at least riggins and co. kept it in the shed

Thing is, the more money they make the less they have to spend. Free drinks all night long. Just let me put your name on the flyer promoting my club on Friday nights and I'll hook you up with VIP-VIP status all night long.

For anyone who hasn't read it, check out "The Dark Side of the Game" by Tim Green.

Some of it might be a little dated now, but he gives a revealing behind the scenes look at the NFL. He touches on the subject of alcohol. Not sure if they still allow this but I remember him talking about guys pounding beers on the plane ride home after games.

Isn't that the sad truth in just about every walk of life.

Yup. I saw up close some players, well known players, drink ungodly amounts right before my eyes. The quieter ones were generally the ones who just sat alone and drank more. The "partiers" were the ones who would nurse their one or two drinks all night while being social

Duvall, lol.... my college career was much shorter and less entertaining as I blew everything in my right knee, and as an offensive lineman you kinda need those.

For you Cuse?

Almost the same story here, lost my ACL and MCL at the same time in HS and tried to make a comeback at V-Tech but never played a game for them. I did see Vick's little brother from the sideline though.

Dang man, I don't remember people from the Pop Warner days but I played for the Landover Falcons. (who oddley enough had the same colors as the Vikings)
