What depth? Banks offers nothing

Smoot, that may be true. But if Banks is so worthless, then why hasn't Mike Shanahan made a move on him, especially given yesterday's topflight performance on punt returns by Richard Crawford who received a game ball from the head coach? Banks is worth something if very little. If he wasn't Shanahan would have cut Banks like he did with John Beck.

Can we change the title. Just doesn't sound right

Sounds like an elton john song.
Edit: i really lived Mike Nelms as a kid and if i ever go old school on a jersey again it will be Nelms for sure.
Double edit: jesus i just saw the original title. Still singing goodbye norma jean but brandon banks instead.

No rush to cut him or shop him at this point though.

I think the Niles Paul experiment will come to an end at the end of this season. He can get open, but what's the point in that if he can't catch the durn ball?

Dropped passes. Dropped passes drive the coaches crazy. Dropped passes drive the fans crazy. Dropped passes drives everybody crazy. Paul truly needs to hang on to the football. As far as Niles Paul on kickoff returns, I like his burst but it seems his burst isn't always there. I doubt if they take him off of kickoff returns. Like with any player with the football, Paul needs to do a better job of covering the damn football with both hands when there's at least 4 seconds before contact.

It's strange. Paul is doing what I expected him to struggle with well. Catching the ball, coming from the WR position, I saw as a given...

Niles Paul can catch the football. Usually when a WR/TE drops a pass, it's because he is lacking focus. Sometimes I laugh when a perfectly thrown pass hits a guy right in the hands for a incomplete pass. Clint Didier, Rick Doc Walker, Don Warren, Stephen Alexander, Jaime Asher, Jean Fugett, Chris Cooley, and certainly not Jerry Smith dropped passes.

Oh I definitely think you keep him on teams, just don't let him see the field on offense or otherwise touch the football.

Paul's been targeted 17 times this year, and has caught 9. He's around 52%. Logan Paulsen is 19 for 31, around 61%. So, in terms of stats and %, you wouldn't think Paul is very far behind, but he's dropped a lot of passes that were right in the bread basket. That's not to say the other receivers haven't been guilty of the same thing through.
