Know what else is driving me nuts? All this talk about his "playing style" and how it's going to hurt his longevity in the league. I mean other QBs get hit a ton more than he does. Sure, he takes SOME unnecessary shots when he runs, but he's been REALLY smart about it lately.

Even Jerry Jones was rooting for the Redskins:

I will say this. This was not the most memorable game but I have a hard time remembering a more satisfying victory. Even now I'm in some sort of this weird combination of emotions that I can only describe as pissed off happy. Every time I think about the Giants ownership my blood boils.

I have great respect for their players and their front office people but the stunt John Mara pulled this past offseason was enough for me to consider the Giants a bigger rival then the Cowboys. I mean it' one thing to get into a rivalry based on tradition but it's another thing where an opposing owner of a division rival is deliberately trying to sabotage your team. And it's not like we don't know from his statements at the owners meeting that his real goal was to stop the Redskins from acquiring RG3, but instead he settled for the cap penalties.

Based off the fact Mara pulled that stunt and foiled our plans to pick up a Safety and CB that would probably have saved the back end of our defense just so the Skins wouldn't over night get better then his beloved Giants should have had his position and title taken away from him by the NFL.

Mara had too much conflict of interest in our punishment to be smack dab in the middle of handing it out. I really hope the Judge ends up siding with the NFLPA and gives our 18 mill in CAP space back and finds some form of punishment to the league.... and or give Dallas and the Redskins extra draft picks on top of everything for how the NFL Owners ganged up on our two teams.

Yeah seems like most in the media are living in September or something. He hasn't run nearly as much as he did in the first part of the season, and he's been getting down or out of bounds a lot more since the concussion.

Seems that lately his biggest hits are coming in the pocket. A big part of that is because he's just fearless and will stand in there until the very last second.

Yes. Every qb that has ever played is one hit away from ending their career at anytime. Look at Steve Young. Dude had an all pro offensive line and suffered how many concussions? He is now in the hall of fame with a lombardi trophy. Would have had more of them if he didnt sit behind Montana in the wings.

He's catching his own passes. \.

I was still waiting for a ruling on that.

If it were possible is that actually illegal?

I thought the screens were bad calls themselves last night but otherwise it was a solid game for offense. My point, and I think it's obvious, is there's a lot of ways you could scheme/coach this offense to win. Does that make sense?

Specific to Kyle the play-calling has improved over the last three games. Before that play-calling was bad to avg. I realize you'll never agree with this, but I think the results spoke for themselves.

Along those lines, among all the guys I watch/talk football with the most memorable Redskins play this season is sending RG3 out to catch a pass against Ryan Clark. That play was a microcosm of the season up to three weeks ago. The play-calling/coaching has improved. It seems pretty simple to me.

I'll say this.... in the first 3 games or I should say wins I felt the play calling was right on. The players had little to no penalties and the play calling was spot on. Then some where after those games the play calling changed, we saw more pitches by RG3 and less roll outs and less option plays. Designed probably to keep RG3 from getting hit like he did in the first few games.

Then even I said they need to get back to doing what they were doing at the beginning of the year. More roll outs, more play action to freeze the defenses, more option plays with RG3 holding his hands up right before he gets hit if he doesn't have the ball. The last 3 games we have seen just that.

I'll agree the screens were baffling and I was pissed but no OC will call the perfect game. There will always be some plays even he wishes he could take back.

Now last night I was more pissed in the first half cause it seemed like the passes were going to everyone but the guys who helped the team win the last 3 games. Where was Hankerson? where was Robinson? where was Garcon? where was Morgan? It seemed like the passes went to Niles Paul (who can't catch a cold)- even though he got lucky with the catch in the Dallas game (which he bobbled). Passes went to Paulson (whom I love by the way but.....) who dropped on and was over thrown the second time.

Yes Morgan caught the fumble for the TD. But it seemed like Garcon was not majorly used until the second half and where was Robinson? hankerson I think had one catch for decent yards and maybe Morgan had another catch.

Does anyone think its possible Shanahan's comments about using the rest of the season to "evaluate" players was a calculated move to light a fire under players whom he felt werent giving their all? I think he just spoke without really thinking it through and the media ran wild with it. either way, I cant really think of another reason to explain why the defense has played so much better the past 3 weeks, other than defensive players simply executing better.
