firstdown 11-26-2012, 01:29 PM You got Eli Manning ranked before Big Ben? Manning is NOT a consistent QB. His heroics in SBs 42 &46 overshadows his inconsistency a great deal. The guy only has a 82.6 career QB rating.
Who gives a F*&K about a QB ranking if they are clutch when it counts and Eli is clutch.

Eli Manning is clutch indeed, but he's also inconsistent. QB rating in today's pass happy NFL is a measuring stick for how efficient and how good a QB is. Completion percentage, TD to INT ratio, accuracy is an indication of how truly skillful a QB is in today's NFL. When I see Peyton Manning, Phillip Rivers, Ben Rothlesburger, Drew Brees, Aaron Rodgers, RG3, and others attain high QBR I view that as being them being a skillful quarterback.
The disposition of "who gives a F*%k" only proves my point.
the running plays a major factor. I put him somewhere around 12-14 range, which is pretty damn good for a rookie. Is he better than guys like freeman, dalton, flacco, stafford? I think it's too early to tell.
lol.

Flacco, Freeman, E. Manning, P. Manning, Rodgers, Stafford, Bradford, Rivers, Dalton, Brady, Schaub, Cutler, and many other QBs around the NFL has never done what RG3 has done this season. As a rookie, RG3 outshines them all. How many of those QBs ever had thrown for 2500 yards, 16 TDs, only 4 INTs, and a 104.6 Qb rating through their first 11 games as a pro? None of them!!!

I think the two rings he's got and the way he's played down the stretches of those seasons on to the SB says how good he is.... not his QBR...
and everybody on your list there? ... besides rivers..? .... ring(s)

I'm not saying Manning is not good. I'm saying that he's inconsistent and a QB who is inconsistent is not elite. Period. When I view quarterbacking, I pay attention to skill. The level of skill is what defines an elite QB. Championships are what a team attains, not just the QB.
tryst1540 11-28-2012, 03:37 PM I'm not surprised that RG3 is doing as well as he's doing. Before the draft he was the player I wanted. I thought that he was the best player in the 2012 draft. I believed that he be very good right away and shock a lot of people.
The question is where do I rank him? This is a very complex question because there are a lot of things to consider. As a qb I rank him in the top ten. As a player I rank him in the top five. Passing the ball RG3 doesn't have as many yards as the top ten qbs mainly because he doesn't pass the ball nearly as much. However, he's very, very effective when he does. He's one of the most efficient passers in the NFL (4th rated). He's the most dangerous runner in the NFL. Combine with his elite passing ability he has world class speed to match. This makes him in my opinion one of the best players in the NFL right now.
I do not see a sophomore slump in his future. Next year he'll really know this offense and NFL defenses. I want everyone to bookmark this statement. Next season RG3 will be the best qb/player in the NFL.
There is no doubt in my mind that this guy is forreal. Every year we will see him get better and better.

Welcome.
CRedskinsRule 11-28-2012, 04:03 PM And let's not forget class and humility.
This kid knows what to say, and how to say it:
Robert Griffin III would vote Washington Redskins teammate Alfred Morris as top rookie - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/8685985/robert-griffin-iii-vote-washington-redskins-teammate-alfred-morris-top-rookie)
"My vote would go to Alfred Morris, because I wouldn't vote for myself. I think that's extremely conceited and I'm not that person, so I'd vote for Alfred Morris," Griffin told the NFL Network. "He's my running back, he's had a very quiet but very great season for a running back, and I'm proud to have him on this team."
...
"Going into college, I was compared to Terrelle Pryor a lot, and now coming into the pros, it's going to be me and Andrew Luck. And like I tell everybody, I don't ever root against quarterbacks, and I want him to have a great career as well. If they are going to continue to compare us, hopefully we are the best comparison of all time," he said in the "NFL AM" interview.

Well his brother has better number and most will agree he is a beter QB.Though ELi has proven that he can win the big game against the same team that has knocked his big brother out of the dance so many times. I'll take the SB number over all the other stats every time.
