We are still on pace to set a record for the most yards ever given up by a defense....

I think Philly will win. Even with Foles at QB, i just don't think our defense can pressure him enough, even though he is a rookie.

This team just isn't playing well right now. I love this team, and I love RG3, but i look at our upcoming schedule and the way we've been playing, i see us winning only one more game, and that's the Cleveland game, and that's even debatable.

I still think if Shanahan loses out he will be fired. Dan Snyder is going to go back to his old ways sooner or later, he thinks in his mind that "doing things the right way" have not panned out (3 seasons worth), so he will go back to big spending, firing, hiring, etc...

If that were to happen I actually think that would let Snyder off the hook in the public's eyes. At least as long as he kept BA and didn't do a Zorn rerun. I think alot would have to do with the coach he hired.

I have no idea how to feel about this game. The Eagles are clearly up to their necks in dirt right now, but our team has never been the type to bury anyone. We always seem to be that last divot of grass doomed teams manage to cling to right before the earth swallows them whole.

From what I can tell from all the reports and blogs I've been reading, the bye week looks to have been a therapeutic one. Everyone's apparently healthier, and players and coaches alike all sound and appear rejuvenated and more motivated than ever.

But we've all been burned by this type of lip service before. Personally, I'm keeping my reservations.

I may not know what to expect out of this game, but I sure as heck know what I want -- a statement! This Sunday's game shouldn't be a contest, it should be a funeral!

If they want to change their fortunes, they should start by changing perceptions. GRAB YOUR SHOVELS AND BURY PHILLY!!!!

Eagles 28
Redskins 59

This score look familiar to anyone?

I don't think that Dan Snyder would necessarily go back to his old ways if he were to fire Mike Shanahan. Surely, he's learned better by now (I hope).

If Shanahan were to lose out, I would expect him to be fired. That would mean ten straight losses to end the season and an overall 3-13 record in year three of his tenure. That would probably be unacceptable to any owner. That said, I can't imagine Mike Shanahan and this team losing ten straight games.

On the other hand, the Carolina game was declared a "must win" by Shanahan and we lost it. Now, the upcoming Eagles game is supposed to be the beginning of a revival for this team. The Eagles come in to our stadium with a raw rookie QB and a depleted OL. We should win. But if we lose this game and then lose again at Dallas on Thursday, I think it's remotely possible that the Skins could go into a free fall.

I'm not sure Snyder would fire Shanahan no matter what happens. For publicity sake of both men, I think Shanahan would agree to step down. I think it would take a worst case scenario for that to happen though. And I don't see us losing out.
