The irony about Welfare and First's post is that both parties secretly like it. It's stimulus by another name. Much better for the economy if people are spending money and looking for employment, than just looking for employment or sitting on their broke asses all day.

So now the left thinks food stamps stimulates the economy but tax breaks don't.

Not Quiet, we broke ground on our house today and I just got in front of a computer. Congrates to Obama. Enjoy the win.

Congrats on the milestone for your house. Hope it turns out well.

With 46 million people on food stamps Obama only needed another 20 million votes.

Again, I think you and AW are looking at this the same way the GOP is; incorrectly. Unless this mindset changes, the Republicans will not be competitive for years to come.

This was the GOPs election to lose. Almost 8 percent unemployment, low approval ratings and a sluggish economy. Yet Mitt still lost. Why? Women, Latinos and the younger population (black vote didn't change from 08). The GOP has alienated these groups of people with their far right social beliefs and immigration policy. For the latter, Republicans support self deportation, voter id laws, illegal (racist) vehicle stops. Why would any of these groups vote for Romney?

Look, keep on making the excuses about welfare and food stamps. I hope you do, because as even Michael Steele said, the Republicans will lose generations of a growing population. The GOP will just become the OP. And I don't mean Original Playa.

You do know that was what Romney said over and over again. Just shows that the Dem. advertising worked.

You mean the ads where Romney himself is saying and I quote"I will overturn Roe V Wade, and I will get rid of Planned Parenthood"end quote...you mean those ads?

Well Planned Parenthood and PBS are huge drains on our budget. Makes more sense to cut that instead of something tiny like the defense budget. Didn't you know that?

As someone who has no insurance and gets no benefits at work, Planned Parenthood is my everything. I'm glad I get to see it for at least another 4 years.

Oh you are right.... a big part of the younger generations are huge bleeding hearts. Its like some quasi rebooted hippy version movement from the 60's.
You wont be able to recognize this country in 20 years, I barely recognize it now. Bleeding hearts will win.....America will lose, well until the name is changed to the United Porous Borders of North Mexico.

Dont confuse you and your ideology losing with America losing. Change and progress take time to get use to so take your time but not too long.

....now give me stuff!

My generation is not the one that is confused.
And we are not making progress, exactly the opposite.
