Sonny9TD 11-04-2012, 05:53 PM Wow. Just wow.Brandon Banks has not been the fast playmaker he was hired to be. He hasn't passed the 30 more than twice. (Stat could be wrong. Going on pure feel.) The defensive line beat up our offensive line in fine fashion. Logan Paulson is our best receiver while the defense played dismal pretty much with flashes of good effort but they struggled.
Strengths:
Alfred Morris, Logan Paulsen, RG3, Rob Jackson
Josh Morgan if he holds on. Our offensive line when running but a weakness when passing.
A flash of Niles Paul.
Kicker other than onside kick.
I got mad respect for London Fletcher. Saw him hustling like his usual self. RG3. Did I mention RG3?
Weaknesses: Plurals, many.
The line when passing.
Most of the receivers.
Most of the secondary although they did play better. But how could they not?
Option pitches which are begging to be called a turnover sooner rather than later.
Has anyone seen Kerrigan. Is he still a Redskin?
Pass rush. Haven't seen it either.
Last play. Was that really a play? I guess it is now.
DirtBagZ 11-04-2012, 05:55 PM And many have wondered. IF it was a 5 year rebuild, and the cupboard was so bare, why give away draft picks, high ones at that, for an aging QB from within the division? Obviously, he was thinking he could do at least SOMEHTHING with bringing McSuck in here. I guess he gets a pass there, though. I mean, its not like that second rounder could have ever been a contributer in our ASS BLOW secondary, right?
You raise some really good points, and that is why I don't understand how 70% of the forum thinks that Shannahan should not be fired at the end of the season. This is year three and the team is either treading water or going backwards.
The frigging Colts are 5-3! Every so called expert stated how RG3 should have an easier go of it during his rookie campaign since the Skins have 'better talent' than the Colts. Seriously, how is it possible for this team to get crushed for the second year in a row by the Panthers! Snyder should fire the whole front office.
I'm probably in rant mode right now, it is just so frustrating to watch this team. Especially when they come out flat and get kicked in the teeth by the likes of the Rams/Panthers name current NFL bottom feeder franchise.
skinsfaninok 11-04-2012, 05:56 PM Shanahan said 5 years.. Ill give him 5 years. Lovie Smith was on the chopping block for a while and they are 7-1 now after he got the talent he wanted to fill his needs.
Smith has been to a SB and has never had seasons like ms has
HailGreen28 11-04-2012, 05:59 PM B Mitch is just unloading on this team on the post game show.... and deservedly so.Bitchell can go eat a ****. #1, he's a Philadelphia Eagle through and through. #2, He's just a shill who couldn't get a job anywhere other than trashing the Skins. #3. He does this repeatedly with less insight than anyone here, included know-nothing me. #4. Snyder shafted Mitchell when he let him go, but as a commentator he has little to say but garbage, like Lavar. And we should never forget his quotes like these:
"I really get the feeling that I was a Philadelphia Eagle my entire life"
"I don't hope any African American QB comes here." Brian Mitchell, referring to Cam Newton possibly playing for Washington.
"You shouldn't even be opening your mouth. That defensive line SUCKS. Philip Daniels SUCKS." Brian Mitchell after Daniels commented on Albert Haynesworth's bad behavior
Screw Brian Mitchell. He should be dead to all of us, as a Skin.

Lovie been to the sb and a good couple playoffs the bears FO where to chicken crap to make moved that lovie always wanted. Bears would of made playoff last year too if cutler sidnt get hurt look what they dod they brought in franchise QB a dominating DE to an already good D and got Marshall for a 3rd which was cheap and now are 7-1 n i believe will ein sb.
Lovie been a winning coach and is now better with more power in FA.
In less than 3 years bears where playoff contenders. We are not.bears are always motivared to win we use to but now dont care.

Here is the difference, hear me out. Its gonna be a lengthy explanation.
YOU DO NOT NEED STUDS AT EVERY POSITION TO WIN. ie colts this year. The coach is actually coaching and gameplanning his squad to wins. Its not that difficult. And thats a BRAND NEW COACH, in a situation where he has a rook QB, WORSE TALENT accross the board than we had, our division is weaker by a ton this year, and he is winning. Didn't take him long to take a one win abysmal team to 2 games over .500 at the halfway mark. Sure as hell didn't take him 5 years. This 5 year thing blows me away. Talk about job security. After a 5-11 year 3, he can always say, "I said it was a 5 year job to rebuild....." PHUCK THAT. Its the NFL, win or go home, overrated loser of a coach this Shanahan is. The game has so passed him by. Just sucks its gonna take Redskins nation 5 years to figure out that it doesn't matter if he has 3, 4, 5 or 12 years, he is not good anymore. If he was, we would at least see some results against a 1-6 team that is taking a nosedive in year 3.

I mean, its not like that second rounder could have ever been a contributer in our ASS BLOW secondary, right?Agreed the McNabb move was bad, but look how Shanny's changed the roster since.
Totally new OL and backfield. Who other than Moss and if you want count Cooley have we kept? Not many on O. And on Defense Rak and Fletch are a given, but not much else there from the old regime on D either.
And of the guys who left, who's made a bang? Rogers who even didn't want to play here when Blanche and Co. ran the D, one good year from Carter with the Pats though he got injured there, who else? Our roster was pathetic when Shanahan came in.
I'm in favor of giving Shanny his original 5 years, despite this mess today. There was a lot of cleaning up to do, and I do think the future is brighter than when he came in.
Evilgrin 11-04-2012, 06:09 PM 3-6 and regressing doesnt feel great, but it's fun to read all the anti-shanny crazies.

What's crazy about people wanting to actually get a coach that wins games? Like I said I'm a fan of Mike but he's not winning and he's been here 3 years now and the team is just as bad( without RGIII included) now more than ever pretty much
Evilgrin 11-04-2012, 06:11 PM Pretty much this. Offense is killing itself really. Penalties(13) killed us today, and going 3-15 didn't help either.
Ouch 3-15 on 3rd down?
