Back. And potentially out into 2014
And our first two picks won't be DBs.
That seems like a terrible mistake... Arguably, any team should draft for talent and not position, but as our holes begin to close, it makes sense to try and draft for position.
I would hope that we go DB first, or if nothing else, OT... Either way, the secondary needs to be addressed in a big way early in the draft.

I'm sure it ventures into crystal ball territory but how far out can the scouts project the potential of a player? Would it be too much of a stretch to say that Skins scouts are already targeting 2014 players?
I'd love to see us gather picks for 2014 when we can afford to bolster the roster and bet set for 5-10 years.
I think the fans are probably way more concerned about the secondary than the front office is. And I don't think they are going into the draft thinking it's do or die to find a starter in the secondary. BPA is always the best approach. Drafting for need more often than not results in reaching.

Completely agree, and honestly almost every position on the Redskins could use improvement except QB, even the OLB's could use an added playmaker. There is no reason to only be concerned about the secondary when there might be better players available. Stick with the plan.

Seeing as how ESPN/NFL network guys already scout players from 2014, I am sure team scouts are doing that as well, they just aren't as in depth as they can be because they are not supposed to be able to contact the players or do as much research as they are able to do for players that have declared for the draft.

I'd be happy if we traded for a first in 2014. Not having a first round pick two years in a row is not helpful for adding top young talent which makes a quick impact.

IMO are FO is probably thinking if we had more pressure up front are Secondary would of looked better. They will address the secondary but not as much as we think/wish.

It'd be nice to get someone from my alma mater in the 3rd or 4th round.

The more I watch Baccari Rambo, the more I want him. I know 'scouts' have said he's a 3rd rounder, but I like him so much that I think we may just take him at 51. Hell by the time the draft goes around and we see so many teams taking secondary guys he may be the best available when we pick in terms of secondary.

Yeah they're not likely looking too much past 2013 at this point.
