I don't think we're lucky enough to have Trufant fall to our 2nd round pick
I like Cyprien but I think there will be better S prospects available in the 3rd
Don't like Tyrann
I love Zaviar Gooden physical skillset I would take him in the 4th
I would take Wilcox in the 5th
Jonathan Cyprien is probably the best safety in this class.

I would consider Elam and Reid better and but still Cyprien is a beast.

2nd Rd: David Amerson CB
3rd Rd: TJ McDonald S/Tony Jefferson S
4th Rd: [Zavier Gooden] or Duke Williams S/ Jonathan Cyprien S
5th Rd: Terron Armstead OT
5th Rd: Mike Gillisee RB/ Theo Riddick RB/WR
6th Rd: Corey Fuller WR/ Marcus Davis
7th Rd: Nick Florence QB
If he goes to the combine, he will turn heads. I guarentee.

Jonathan Cyprien is probably the best safety in this class. To each there own, I still like Cyprien and I have for awhile but I have Reid, Thomas, McDonald, Elam, Swearinger, Jefferson and Duke Williams ahead him.
Cyprien is more of a SS then a FS and for me to be the top S you have to be able to play FS. Also, some of those other guys have either a size or man-to-man coverage ability advantage over Cyp.
But, I could see Cyp as a starting SS, he reminds me of a Meriweather.

Really informative. Obviously you know your college prospects. However, in my humble opinion, no one is going to be forgetting about LaMichael James anytime soon. In just 3 years he amassed 5,082 yards and 53 TDs, with a Doak Walker and a trip to the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

I dont know. I try and ask myself what if Jonathan was surrounded by the talent as those two players.

You could also say that Jonathan did not play against the teams they had to play. Like LSU, Bama, Georgia, FSU, South Carolina, those teams are loaded with talent and even with the talent on their team they still stood out, especially Elam who made plays everywhere in big games against UGA, FSU, Louisville and LSU. It is harder to stand out when other players are talented around you.

I would take Elam over Cyprien right now, but come draft day a team taking Cyprien above Elam won't be a shocker to me at all.

So you would not be surprised if Cyprien would be taken over Elam? I like your boldness.

Well, if Cyprien runs a 4.43 and Elam runs 4.67 then I could see it too.
But short of a scenario like the one above Elam will go before Cyprien.
