Schedule looks tough. 2013 games, Home: Cowboys, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers. Away: Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons, Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers and at Dallas, Philadelphia and New York. If it looks tough in the offseason it means it's probably going to suck when the season roles on. skinsfaninok 01-07-2013, 11:01 PM Bama is rolling skinsfaninok 01-07-2013, 11:02 PM If it looks tough in the offseason it means it's probably going to suck when the season roles on. The NFL schedule means very little honestly, teams change so much year in and out. Who would have thought we would be a tough team to play this year? CultBrennan59 01-08-2013, 12:40 AM SFRedskin, I have some sad news for you: Your boy Shanye Skov is returning to Stanford after he was granted a 5th year of eligibility. Also name an LSU star player or defensive starter, and chances are they're leaving to go pro. Its ridiculous how many of them are leaving (lots of Pass Rush specialists and secondary guys). There is a chance that we could get Eric Reid (FS; late 1st/2nd), Tharold Simon (CB 3rd-5th) and Tyrann Mathieu (NB; 4th-6th) in one draft As for this disgusting beatdown Alabama is putting on Notre Dame: Bama has Barrett Jones who can play every position but LT on the OL; He'll go late first 2nd round range. Robert Lester the SS for Bama is good, but not great like he was last year. He'll be there for us at 54. Jesse Williams the NT is a 2nd round possibility for us, he could be there for us. CJ Mosley is the next Bowman IMO, he won't declare according to earlier reports but you never know. For ND, Nix is a beast NT, but he's coming back. Braxston Cave the Center is great, but really don't need him. Eifert is the guy I'd get, but he's a fringe late 1st early 2nd guy, so most likely we won't get him. Kapron Lewis-Moore is a good depth 3-4 DE, but he most likely just tore his ACL, so I wouldn't draft him now. (as awful as Te'o played tonight, he's still going 1st round) In the previous couple of games Kent St has a very underrated tackle Brian Winters who projects very well to the RT spot according to draft analysts. Kyle Long of Oregon is raw, but he has NFL bloodlines, size and can be coached up. He was a guard at Oregon, he could be a RT that could pan out real well in the NFL. Barner is that speedy back that we need to complement Alfred. Arthur Brown is a name to keep an eye on. As we're noticing in the NFL, the QBs are running and running fast. These are the common LBs that are good at containing QBs. GWinSkins83 01-08-2013, 08:30 AM Man if we can get that Cap back. NFL watch out! The draft can go anyway. I also believe RG3 won't miss next year either. From what I can tell is he has partial tears. And I'm telling you this right now I see Talib and Ryan Clady being on this team next year. I think better safety prospects around the same grade are DJ Swearinger at South Carolina and Bacarri Rambo. What do you think of Zeke Motta last night? I think he is too slow in coverage but a decent mid round pick. When speaking of Safetys, Eric Reid and Matt Elam get all the headlines, but the better players may be outta of the Big 12, Tony Jefferson and Kenny Vaccaro. donofriose 01-08-2013, 10:34 AM Robert Lester is not good or great, he is a fringe 4th round pick imo. When speaking of Safetys, Eric Reid and Matt Elam get all the headlines, but the better players may be outta of the Big 12, Tony Jefferson and Kenny Vaccaro. The Notre Dame Secondary was considered the weakness of the defense, and especially after last nate, Motta allowed Bama receivers to get by him all too often. Good open field tackler but has a lot of coverage flaws from what I saw. Only seen Notre Dame play 3 or 4 times though so I am not sure how he did in other games. Tony Jefferson is going to be a good safety, but never jumped out, the WVU game he got abused but WVU does have Austin and Bailey... but those are the type of receivers he will be going against every week in the NFL. Vaccaro did poorly against OSU, Oklahoma and WVU. Elam and Reid are the two safeties that every time I watched those teams played just jumped out. Especially Elam. He was all over the place in almost every game. But scouts have more knowledge on technique and ability and they state Vaccaro is the number one safety in this draft. donofriose 01-08-2013, 10:34 AM Eifert just went pro. No surprise. Really the only Notre Dame player that played good last night. donofriose 01-08-2013, 10:49 AM SFRedskin, Bama has Barrett Jones who can play every position but LT on the OL; He'll go late first 2nd round range. Barner is that speedy back that we need to complement Alfred. Barret Jones is a beast. Had a good game creating holes while injured last night against probably the best NT in college football if not one of the best, did a great job against Te'o as well getting to the second level. Winters and Pugh are both supposed to be very good tackles for the next level. Good draft if you are in need of a tackle. Kyle Long does a good job sealing looked good all year and obviously can keep himself in great job running that offense. Barner is not really a vision cutback runner like Morris is, not sure how we would fit in Shanahan's running offense seeing as how seeing cutback lanes are essential and Barner at 195 lbs would have to take on linebackers when he cutbacks don't see that happening consistently. |
