Chico23231 01-01-2013, 12:14 PM 2013 NFL Draft order set - CBSSports.com (http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/rob-rang/21474615/updated-2013-nfl-draft-order)
We picked a good year not to have a first round pick, probably one of the worst for skill players. The safety positions and DL(3-4 OLBs too) are really deep this year. Sneaky deep position is RB, there gonna be some solid ones coming out.
budw38 01-01-2013, 12:21 PM I hope we have a great draft next year as well. Schedule looks tough.
2013 games,
Home: Cowboys, New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers.
Away: Denver Broncos, Minnesota Vikings, Atlanta Falcons, Oakland Raiders, Green Bay Packers and at Dallas, Philadelphia and New York.
12-4 should win the NFC EAST ..... AGAIN :)
donofriose 01-03-2013, 11:15 AM Sharrif Floyd, Matt Elam of Florida Gators to enter NFL draft - ESPN (http://espn.go.com/nfl/draft2013/story/_/id/8808685/sharrif-floyd-matt-elam-florida-gators-enter-nfl-draft)
Elam, and Floyd both declared for the draft.
Elam was an all american safety and played great at Florida. Hopefully he will drop to us in the second round (unlikely but possible).
Jordan Reed is indecisive about returning or staying, seems more likely to stay
Chico23231 01-03-2013, 11:49 AM my early list of best possible draft
2nd round: CB, a. Trufant or b. Poyer
3rd: FS, Tony Jefferson
4: Tackle, Rick Wagner
5: ILB, Kevin Riddick
6: SS/KR/PR Honey Badger
7: RB, Shanny Special
Evilgrin 01-03-2013, 12:40 PM Not a great year to have the number 1 pick, kinda like the pick the Wizards always get.
CultBrennan59 01-03-2013, 01:40 PM Great to hear that Elam is declaring; hopefully he can fall to us, but unlikely.
A couple of names to watch for tonights game:
Oregon:
Kenyon Barner RB--he's that fast back we need
Kyle Long OL--Son of Howie Long. Big, athletic, rangy OG/OT; could be our RT next year.
Kansas State:
Arthur Brown LB--he can cover, hit, tackle, make plays left and right. Some have mentioned him to a smaller Ray Lewis
donofriose 01-04-2013, 09:33 AM Long looked good vs KSU, still has some character issues, commitment issues, and would not be an immediate starter but at 6'7 311 lbs, and as athletic as he is, would seem to be a perfict fit for the Shanahan run game. Brown did not jump out during the game, did not seem to make many plays/tackles.
Logan Ryan CB from Rutgers - projected to go second round, 6-0 190 lbs, good in zone and man, very few weaknesses, not amazing in any specific area but is good at everything.
donofriose 01-07-2013, 04:52 PM Report: Florida linebacker Jelani Jenkins to declare for NFL Draft | SI Tracking Blog – Tracking MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, and NCAA On Twitter (http://tracking.si.com/2013/01/07/florida-jelani-jenkins-to-declare-for-nfl-draft/?sct=hp_t2_a11&eref=sihp)
interesting choice
mbedner3420 01-07-2013, 05:53 PM If RG3 is out next year, would you, if you were the GM, consider drafting another late round QB? Or just go in next year with cousins and Rex?
los panda 01-07-2013, 05:58 PM If RG3 is out next year, would you, if you were the GM, consider drafting another late round QB? Or just go in next year with cousins and Rex?always consider every option, happy to go into next season w kirk and rex
