Bowen has been cited by many as having been a beast at times this year and solid throughout. Cofield has not been Ratcliff-like at the NT, but has been serviceable. and at times very good. Morgan has been a solid option in the passing game and, more importantly, has been written up as a great blocking WR.

That's not even considering what Garcon and Merriweather may end up contributing over the life of their contracts.

To compare those five pick-ups to Haynesworth in terms of contribution is just about as divorced from reality as someone suggesting that we should hire Jack Del Rio as our next coach.

I miss Chris Neild so bad. I thought he was going to have a breakout year this year. Especially having played the 3-3-5 at WVU, he IS a true NT. I am still expecting big things out of him.

Actually there's an injury I had forgot about. I hope he comes back strong. We could sure use him!

Not going to quote the guy but just want to remind people that Garcon turned a contract from the awesome, amazing 4-3 Indianapolis Colts (http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2012-02-24/report-garcon-rejects-colts-five-year-offer) as well as the unbelievable, how could they have possibly lost to the Redskins Minnesota Vikings, not to mention some team up in New England. He's a young WR who's proven he can play in this league and has (hopefully) his best years ahead of him. That's why he got a big contract.

I would also remind people that the 49ers in fact wanted to keep Morgan (http://blogs.sacbee.com/49ers/archives/2012/03/moss-in-town-but-the-49ers-have-their-eye-on-morgan.html#more) but the Redskins have the benefit of playing where he grew up and he wanted to come home.

Where would we be without Goat's opinion on why GTripp hadn't been posting very often? :)

Exactly. Garcon being hurt is uncontrollable. Morgan other than the ball at Finnegan has been a good signing for the little we gave him (2 years 6 million right?).

I have no clue why fans here are suggesting we get Dwayne Bowe (or Greg Jennings). They don't make our defense better. And frankly, we're good enough without even Garcon, because RG3 makes everyone look good. We can win on Offense with the guys we have or had (Fred Davis going down Definitely hurts us). Next year I'm thinking Garcon will be a lot healthier and won't miss so much time for us.

Right now I'm pretty upset with 'ol Haslett but it is not impossible to believe that we're going to be much better simply because of getting guys back from injury. Getting all of our guys back is going to be huge and I expect huge big things.

Solid post CB59. What I like about Garcon is he's plays with an attitude. That play/attitude brought some penalties on us, which is going to happen from time to time. And I'm ok with it.

Garcon and Morgan will both have big games by season's end, but like you said our offense doesn't depend on either guy.

stay the course w shanny.
abandon ship w haslett.

let the new defensive mind have time w shanny and allen before free agency and the draft.

Definitely stay the course with Shanny. For starters our offensive personnel is now tailored to his scheme and as Denver learned it's very hard to switch back. On top of that not many coaches can find Running Backs like they're long snappers. Also they've not only done a great job developing RG3 but Cousins looks to be coming along as well.

Denver realized they made a mistake letting Shanny go, the best COA is to keep him and find a defensive guy that can bring the D back to where it was the past decade.
