The Goat 11-05-2012, 04:07 PM Too busy with hurticane to break it down. When the Giants started the season last year most of their starting d wad injured. Even twards the end most of their starting secondary was out. I believe Jacobs / And either nicks/ hicks/ or manningham too. If u have the time to find a games missed breakdown please do. Also o-line. Bottom line is i am absolutely positive that through most of their season last year that their injuries were far greater than what ours are now.
Edit: maybe for the playoffs/superbowl they had a fairly large amount of their guys playing but they certainly battled through the injuries and got to that point. A far cry from where we are headed.

Word. The Packers recently had a SB winning season with a record number of starters and regular rotation guys on IR etc.
I don't understand how people try to make the injury excuse, unless it's your franchise QB. The Packers SB season was discussed far and wide precisely because they had sooooo many injured players.
Mechanix544 11-05-2012, 04:14 PM Ok I was unsure yesterdaybut that was enough for me.
I'm ready for Hazlettmedown and Kyle and his dad to get booted at the end of the season.

:rofl: But the front office and organization just loooooove Kyle and he was going to be the next head coach.
Mechanix544 11-05-2012, 04:29 PM Again most of "the team" are injured, which in a way, makes it much more clear who is, and is not taking up the slack. Its hard to see mediocre players when you're winning.
Lets not use the word "clean house" then but rather, refine.
Here’s Mike Shanahan, the team’s coach, in the post-game press conference: “When you lose a game like that, now you’re playing to see who, obviously, is going to be on your football team for years to come.” While he did say he “takes full responsibility” for the team’s third loss in a row, he also said he was “disappointed” and that “now we find out what kind of character we’ve got.”
He has been "refining" his team for three seasons now. Took a horrid team with a good defense, into a horrid team with a horrid defense who are a part of a larger whole that are now the most penalized team in the league. Bottom in defense, ROCK BOTTOM. This is not the turnaround anyone expected. I love the whole "Shanahan and Allen have changed the entire feel and aura around Redskins Park. The attitude is so much more positive." Looking at this three game losing streak, a 3-6 record, at the bottom of the league in defensive stats, penalties, players acting like fools during games, blaming everyone but your next door neighbor (even if it is in an obscure way), heading downhill the past 4 weeks offensively, I say get this idiot out of here before he really screws the team up for our franchise QB, if there is any time to start new, its RIGHT NOW, with a good young RB, a good young QB as your leader, and one more season for Fletcher to train up his young replacement.
Redskins fans, turning a team around is not a 5 or 6 year process. Its about time we demand more from the team we love. Mike and his little boy ain't cutting it. God Damn it just show him the door so someone can turn this thing rightside up. Plenty of good coaches that would want RG3 and ALMo to turn them into great coaches. Lets fetch us one, instead of one that changes a decent defense for no good reason other than he wants to.

Big difference is those teams had an established base of starters and depth, not a Frankenroster that we've got. We have players from Gibbs, Zorn and Shanahan eras with influence from Snyder, Cerrato and Bruce Allen.

People go on and one about the Packers like that's something to expect from every injured team. What the Packers did in their SB season was pretty amazing and it'll probably not happen for some time. That's like saying that the Ravens won with Trent Dilfer, therefore every other team is grossly overstating the need for a big time QB.
The Packers SB winning team, like the Ravens with Dilfer are the exception, not the rule.

Dont forget about the Giants last year. Read the article i posted. Its all there in black n white. And AGAIN nobody is expecting a damn superbowl but how about a team that can at least be competitive against a 1-6 team! The score yesterday is not even close to what happened on the field. OUR FIELD!
