...and how has that worked out for Denver so far?
Cliffnotes: It hasn't.Well, they might be the best team in the AFC...
But Denver made a ton of mistakes after firing Shanahan. I'm not suggesting by any means that we fire the coach and trade RG3 to the Rams for Sam Bradford and two first rounders, then hire Josh McDaniels and start Kirk Cousins.

Wait, you mean to tell me that a man (Stan Kroenke) with a net worth of 3.2 billion can't afford to pay 2 coaches, but Dan Snyder can?.....lol
Wrong.Well, he'd be doing it at a significant personal financial loss.
But if your point is he could afford it, then yes, yes he could.

Yeah, let's fire him and hire Jeff Fischer.

Doing a hell of a job in St. Louis. I mean his record is so much better than Shanahan's and he's definitely not getting waxed at home either.
He did beat Shanny just a few weeks ago.

I think Mike has improved the personell on this team and except for the secondary put it in pretty good shape for the next HC and his new assistant coaches.

Players get the blame. The coaching should prevent the players (even seasoned ones like Moss) from dropping them. This team never made the flight to Pitt.

This is the other part of my problem. He's only been here 3 years and with a franchise that is/was in rebuilding mode. The last coach that coached here for over 3 years was NORV TURNER and they fired him in 2000. All other coaches have been here for 3 years or less.
To me that's a glaring consistency problem.
Except Zorn. He needed to go.

5 years I think is good. I'm just not crazy about firing him after 3 years, especially with a franchise that was recently in shambles.
It still is. The talent has been addressed on the offensive side of the ball and it shows. There still is a vast number of holes to fill on the defensive side of the ball. Mike inherited a old team with little to no depth. Add a restrictive FA, Lockout, and capgate and it doesn't help matters one bit.
I'll stand steady on my thinking that Haslett was a bad hire to begin with. Why hire a man who doesn't want to run the scheme, nor has he ran it in a decade. Was he turned down that many times by DCs?

Miami won their division Sporanos first year and then fell flat on its face. Having a anomaly season isn't being better, it just means it was a fluke. Also, I don't quite call a 3-3 team a playoff team. Mind you, they were handed one of those wins by San Diego, AND they play in the horrible AFC West. Denver isn't better since firing Shanahan. Not by a long shot.
