ACC boys don't live and breath football like they do in the SEC! When coaches aren't talking football on the radio down there, they are talking spring practice and recruiting. And when the coaches aren't talking, the talking heads are talking. The ACC has nothing on them southern football SEC boys! Yeah, I'll admit the ACC did the right thing bringing in Miami, but vatech is overrated! Boston College will feel like the little redheaded step-sister.

He was paying attention:

thanks for the backup SkinsRock

and I wasn't 100% sure what year Miller was in, I just remember them talking about Schaub and him having their last year together so I figured they were both seniors but I guess it was only schaub. schaub's another player I hope doesn't go to a team I hate.

skins009: since u go to uva, how well have u liked the progress of brooks, blackstock, and Parham cuz that is a group of young, nasty, and talented LBs. and is Chris Canty coming out in the draft or staying for his last year? Canty has a huge frame (6'7 I beleive) and with another 10-15 pounds he'd be an absolute beast on the end, even more so than he is now. and did u see the PC for Howie Long's son declaring his intent to go to UVA? He looked taller than his dad.

Your def. right about Chris Canty he's a rising star. If he can put on about 20 pounds I think he'll be a first rounder four sure.
As for the linebackers Brooks is gonna be the next great linebacker. The guy has the awesome combination of size and speed. The same can be said of Blackstock, though he did have a disappointing year. His freshman year kind of got everybodies expectations real high, but he did have kind of drop in performance. I think it was because he put on too much weight to fast. He's gained like 35 pounds in one year. Thats just too much to fast. I think he can have a big year this year though.

yeah cuz in his freshman year didn't blackstock have like 12 sacks or something crazy like that? I think the ACC is going to be fun to watch for the first time in a long time and UVA has a very strong, young team that I hope can suprise some people. I think I even saw them ranked 20th on a ranking done by espn. The only weak link I see them having is at QB with Schaub graduating. I know their back up played some WR last year but from what I remember he didn't fair so well when he had to play QB the first couple weeks when Schaub was out hurt. This is going to be an interesting year for both levels of football and I can't wait to hear about the Skins' mini camp this weekend.

Personally I think we have a great talent in Robert Royal. He is still pretty rough but from what I saw he has the heart and is a very good receiving TE. I'd like to see him get some play time at least in pre season!

Royal always looks good until he gets hurt. Hopefully he stays healthy this time ... he can be a weapon in the red zone.

skinsfan your thinking of anthony martinez who didnt do to well in his first few weeks. hagans was the qb converted to a wideout who moved back to qb to relieve matinez. he did a great job in the time he was in there all things considered.

do u know if hagans is getting the call at qb this year? I never saw much of his arm but he had plenty of playmaking skill whenever he got his hands on the ball. and thanks for the info, I couldn't catch the first couple games and I couldn't remember the name of the qb who had played during schaub's recovery.

hagans is a playmaker whereever he winds up on the field. a little undersized to play qb and i believe there looking for someone to step up in spring practice so they can move in back to wr. right now nothing has been decided about the qb for the incoming fall. uva has 4 qbs who all have a chance to be the qb come next fall.
