That would make me vomit.
What's Cole's Problem?TheMalcolmConnection 02-28-2005, 02:42 PM That would make me vomit. diehardskin2982 02-28-2005, 02:43 PM Could it be that Coles wants to go to Dallas to reunite with the coach that drafted him? Just a thought....... Snyder wouldn't let that happen he's a fan first, then a owner or atleast thats how he acts sometimes cpayne5 02-28-2005, 02:44 PM Coles has been very classy about this all, I believe. He kept his mouth shut during the season. He finished the season strong. He has not used the media to state his opinion; he has expressed his desires to team management only. Coles wanted to be a free agent so he could decide where he goes. Since it doesn't look like the Skins are willing to oblige in that regard, he figured he'd ask for a bigger contract from possible second-tier sutors. I would actually like for the team to keep him. He is a solid player who has one of the best work ethics in the league. He played pretty well this year, and will likely have a better year next year when the offense gets a bit better. Winning will cure all. We're gonna take a large cap hit no matter what we do, so why not keep him. He has said if he's here next year he'll lace em up just like he has in the past. I say keep him and let him ride it out. TheMalcolmConnection 02-28-2005, 02:44 PM I give Danny a lot of shit, but I won't deny him the fact that he sure does make things exciting in the offseason and he really isn't as terrible an owner as we'd all like to think. I will say he definitely doesn't surround himself with the smartest people though. diehardskin2982 02-28-2005, 02:46 PM I agree cpayne Yellow31 02-28-2005, 02:47 PM I say to heck with him let him rot, if he wants his money he has to play. They signed him 2 years ago for a $13 million bonus and now he wants more?? Suck it up and play, if he doesn't want to be a skin let him retire and get nothing. Maybe he can come back and suck in Baltimore with Deion in a couple of years, I hear he needs some company on the IR and by then his toe ought to be good and arthritic. firstdown 02-28-2005, 02:50 PM I don't think Coles is going any where. He is now making it harder to trade him maybe he has decided he dosn't want to leave. This time of year the rumors fly and I think that may be some what true for Coles. firstdown 02-28-2005, 02:54 PM I say to heck with him let him rot, if he wants his money he has to play. Remember all the flack he took missing games with turf toe. MTK 02-28-2005, 02:55 PM I'm thinking Coles is just using this new deal excuse to prevent the Skins from trading him so he can be released, and then let a few teams get in a bidding war for him. So yeah basically it seems to be boiling down to the money whichever way you look at it. I'd prefer to get rid of him at this point anyway we can, not only to get rid of a disgruntled player but to help save our cap space for the future.
