Steelers are on the down swing and are very beatable. They have multiple issues on the Oline, RB and in the secondary. Their D cordinator is the best in the league and I expect a good game plan from him on RG3.

I gotta feeling this is a lower scoring but very close game. Hienz field is an home field advantage, Skins 16, Steelers 20.

You mean the same secondary that held AJ Green to 1 catch for 8 yds? Although I am glad Polamalu is not going to be playing for them.

Like the Giants, the Steelers are known to lose games to lesser competition (Raiders, Titans), so hopefully they'll come overconfident. As I've said before, our offense is good enough to overcome the mistakes of the defense if they don't make any mistake of their own.

On offense, we can't have turnovers, missed red zone opportunities, not being able to score points off turnovers, and be settling for FGs. We are facing another quarterback that is known for comebacks, and the last thing we need is to be nursing a small lead with Big Ben playing against us.

On defense, I'd like to see the same thing I saw in three and a half quarters against the Giants (or better). Limit the big plays (don't let Wallace or Brown beat you deep), keep the running game in check, and contain Big Ben in the pocket. We pretty much have been picking a pass a game, so another in this game would be helpful.

If we do all of these things we win, if we don't we may have another heartbreaker or worst.

So we are the lesser competition. I really don't feel that way anymore and I'm expecting us to beat the Steelers this weekend. Yes we have some issues on D but at this point and what the team showed me against Atlanta, Vikings and the Giants we can beat any team in the NFL this year.

Polamalu out is very significant. Ike Taylor did a great job against AJ Green and Pittsburg D did a great job actually against the entire Cincy offense.

We're not lesser competition, but we will be the underdogs, hence my comments that I hope they come overconfident.

LOL, our defense is improving? Manning threw for 337 yards. Martellus Bennetts (their TE) stats the past 3 games were: Against Philly 1 catch 2 yards, Against Cleavland 3 catches 30 yards, and against San Fran 1 catch 9 yards. Against us? 5 catches 79 yards.

We hardly force 3 and outs and we constatly give up yards on 3rd downs. Usually teams don't score touchdowns on us in the redzone because of their own screw ups. We get the ball moved on us at will. If our offense doesn't score 30 points, we aren't winning(with the exception of the Bucs game) and we still may lose wile scoring 30. Christian Ponder (who sucks) threw for 352 yards against us in our stadium. An improving defense would not have allowed that 77 yard td last week , maybe not even a college defense.

Also, the Steelers 3rd string RB who you are referring to rushed for 122 yards on 17 carries Sunday. The Steelers never needed a premier feature back to get the job done.

While your first post was decently portrayed, this one not so much. If we do a few fact checks:
Our 3rd down defense is better than Pittsburgh's (our opponents converting 40 of 90(44%), theirs 34 of 72 (47%)

Christian Ponder, who you say sucks, has the 6th best completion percentage, 3 ahead of BR.

Every defense has given up a long bomb at times. Wasn't happy it happened, but Eli has done that to many a teams. It happens, just like Griffin's 76 yd TD happens, or Moss's 30yd TD catch happens.

I was looking for 3 and out stats, but couldn't find any, but yards per drive for Pitt Defense is 34.3 (or 25th in league), and ours is 35.1 (27th)

I have no idea how one would prove or disprove the point that our opponents don't score in the redzone due to their own screwups. Would you consider DHall's int at the end of the Vikings game their screwup or a good play by our D?

I like Dwyer, but he is their 3rd option still on their depth chart. I doubt we game plan worrying about him beating us, but use extra support to our backend. He is kinda a Morris type, so he can do some damage, but I doubt we win or lose because of him.

The game simply comes down to, can we get to big ben and take him down, the other major key to the game is containing Mike Wallace and Antonio Brown who are both faster than Cruz and Nicks.

With Polamalu and London likely to miss this game, I think we're pretty evenly matched with the Steelers talent wise.

Week after week people still think we're going to get shut down offensively or even blown out. I'm really starting to wonder what games people have been watching. We've been in every game and have taken some of the better teams in the league down to the wire.
